Northern Michigan University residence hall had an unwelcome visitor when a moose broke through a first-floor window on Tuesday night.
The animal was caught on tape by a surveillance camera.
The bull moose was chased away by police. They aren't sure if he actually got into the building.
Wildlife experts said it's the middle of the moose mating season and the bull simply picked the wrong place to look for love.
Bulls will travel long distances in search of a cow for mating.
Wildlife officials said bull moose are more aggressive during mating season and should be avoided.

Before I saw the tape... I thought that "moose breaks into dorn" was referring to a hefty co-ed who was trying to get back into her room after losing her key.

Bulls will do ALL SORTS of strange things is search of a mate. I've heard of a moose getting inside a car. They do lots of nasty things to the outside.

I don't know about you, but I would not go strolling out of my dorm in the dead of night to chase a moose who tried to climb through the laundry room window . . . unless I had my good friend .375 Holland and Holland, or equivalent.

From the video, it appears Bullwinkle was trying to mate with a washing machine. Or maybe a moose cow was doing laundry.
Sure makes me miss those college days when rutting mooses would force their way into the dorms .....
I thought Chief Moose was in Hawaii?
Naturally, my sister is completely traumatized...
