I've had my share of concussions via Football and motorcycle accidents, but fortunately no cameras were around to capture the aftereffects.

Rather disturbing the (ideally)short-term damage he sustained after that monster collision he sustained to his noggin.

I've had two concussions - one serious and one mild. Don't ever care to go through it again.

Man, that dude was one hurting pup. Hope the coach gives him a day or two off to clear the bats out of his belfry. That was painful.

Looks like a clean hit, too... that one's on Palmer all the way. Hope CJ didn't sustain a brain injury.

The lesson is....

Never, ever get pass happy when you're up big in any level of football. The Bengals were killing the Browns at the time, Johnson and Palmer had no business even being in the game at this point. Running long pass plays smacks of running up the score. Right or wrong, NFL teams have always laid a little extra smack down when they feel they're getting embarassed. I have a feeling that this was also the reason for the non-flag.

Chad was interviewed the next day and seemed fine. He said that the guy who hit him "couldn't stop 85 but he did knock him out." He said there was no reason to investigate the hit because "it happens."

He seems to have recovered and the official story is he'll play on Sunday. The Bengals would not rush him back unless he were medically cleared.
