In an blockbusting EXCLUSIVE interview on Dateline NBC, correspondent Matt Lauer sat down with Debra Lafave, the 23 year-old teacher who had sex with a 14 year-old boy on several occasions which made national headlines.
For some ungodly reason, NBC decided this was a groundbreaking story that needed to be told to America. I have one question
Why is Debra Lafave on television?
There have been notable people who have earned the right to recognition. Sports heroes, movie stars, business and religious leaders, respected politicians and cultural groundbreakers have all proven worthy of the media attention paid to them. That is why we feel we know Michael Jordan, Jennifer Anniston, Donald Trump, Reverend Billy Graham, John McCain and Simon Cowell. They have been talented, colorful, daring, mesmerizing, dynamic, blessed and outrageous! But, they have not broken the law, are not mentally ill and do not continue to lie and be in denial about their irresponsible behavior... [more at CaliforniaRepubic]

Sorry about being a smartazz...
All I want is consistent protection, without a "well, it's OK if its a boy and the woman is cute" etc.
Either we protect all consistently or we protect none....but when there are codicils, then all is lost (in my opinion).

If your watching it while lusting over the interview details, wishing it were you. Sure the hell is!
That's a pretty big "if".
Sounds like a job for the thought police.
You didn't ask about thoughts, you asked about the moral aspect of it. The problem is, when you fill your mind with crap, those "thoughts" will move you to make them reality. You will start to make decisions in the same.
Welcome to being an adult and it's also why Christ tells us to protect our MINDS, guard our thoughts.
Think BIG PICTURE. One thing leads to another.

WHERE were teachers that looked like THIS when I was in school??
I feel deprived - discriminated against.
Maybe the ACLU will take my case - my rights have been violated. Most of my teachers looked like Helen Thomas - with a mustasche.

I agree that child molesters are the scum of the earth.
And I don't think she should get special treatment because she is geometrically proportioned.
("pretty" and "hot" are adjectives to express opinion, not fact)
When I think of someone being castrated for child molesting, I think that punishment would be adequate if the crime involved a man who overpowered or intimidated a small child. If the girl refused and fought back only to be overpowered or if she submitted and silently cried because she was too scared to say no, then the man is a monster. The death penalty would be too humane for him.
This case involves a woman, who just happens to be "hot" and a pubescent boy that is bigger than her. He could easily take her down. He was more than a willing participant.
I am not saying what she done was right, not at all. She is an adult and an adult should know better. But she should not fit into the same mold as the man who holds down a defenseless little girl while she cries. She didn't rape the boy.
She should be punished for sure and labeled a child molester. But the punishment should fit the crime.

You didn't ask about thoughts The statement you made below denotes thought.
If your watching it while lusting over the interview details
Lusting over the details involves a thought process.
The problem is, when you fill your mind with crap, those "thoughts" will move you to make them reality. You will start to make decisions in the same.
You speak as if this an ironclad fact.
Perhaps for weak minded fools with little self-control but certainly not for everyone.
Welcome to being an adult

No I don't wonder at all. Men think about sex almost all the time even immediately afterwards in some cases. (truth in lending I am a male from an all boy family)
From the time I was about 13 it was always on my mind as it was on most boys.
Quite frankly I would have loved being serviced by this woman at the age of 14. That may make me despicable but it is the truth nevertheless.
Another reason I don't wonder about it can actually be derived from your earlier post about the hypocrites who surrounded you in your youth.
I would wager that 95 out of a 100 men who claim to be upright, upstanding and Godly men IF they knew they would not be caught would have their pants off so fast your head would spin if Debbie said "unzip". That does not say they are bad, immoral or evil but the little head overrules the big one virtually all the time. She would look at them with those baby blues and BOIING.
And I do NOT believe women are as obsessed with sex as men except in RARE cases. At least I have never met any who were. Fact is we just cannot get enough.
