You have to appreciate a city that can laugh at itself. Everyone else does.

Where's Coors Light?

For a (somewhat) mass produced American brew, I'll pick Anchor Steam.

Except Samuel Adams, aren't these all micro-brews? I don't think this list accurately reflects the beer drinking attitudes of the beer drinking market in America.

Seems rather odd to me. Beer drinkers becoming snobs like wino's it appears to me.

Let me explain how this poll actually worked -- and I'm not kidding. The writer was lazy and went directly to the people at beertown.org

Without their help, the number one beer would have been Stella Artois.

Why do so many of these so called great beers come from places where you would never want to drink the tap water?

Only had #7 and #14 and all of the other Great Lakes varieties while stuck in Akron-Canton airport.

I thought they were quite good...but then again I'd had quite a few.

Have a kindly neighbor whose daughter attends college in San Luis Obispo and brings me a case of Firestone Walker Pale Ale when she comes home. Bless her, ale lovers should try this heavenly brew.

How come when I get an Alaskan Amber(18) I get it with a slice of lemon on the rim? If a beer is good it doesn't need fruit, which is one reason I don't like Corona. It tasts lousy by itself and the lime plugs up the bottle.

Ale isn't beer.
Stout isn't beer.
O'Fallon Gold Lager is the BEST Beer in America. Serve it cold, this ain't no sissy "let it sit for five minutes" beer.
Hoppy with a clean finish and no aftertaste.
Some of these liquids you can still taste a day later.
