How come when I get an Alaskan Amber(18) I get it with a slice of lemon on the rim? If a beer is good it doesn't need fruit, which is one reason I don't like Corona. It tasts lousy by itself and the lime plugs up the bottle.

That's odd. It's common to server Hefeweisen with a slice of lemon, but I've never heard of doing it with an altbier (which is what Alaskan Amber is).

Anyhow, I do think Alaskan Amber deserves to be on the list...it's a pretty decent beer.

Last time I checked, the liquor store does not provide lemons with a case of Amber. Just local establishment practices you must have encountered.
