UPDATE... (per The Big Story on Fox)

Anna gave birth to the baby girl on Friday 9/8/06
Howard was with her in the Bahamas (this is typical as Howard never leaves her side)
Daniel arrived in the Bahamas Saturday evening and Howard picked him up at the airport. They went directly to the hospital and only went out once to pick up food to bring back to the hospital. There was 2 beds in Anna's room. Howard slept in one, Anna in the other and Daniel slept in a chair that was in the room (which was probably a recliner type chair). The baby was also in the room on Sunday morning when Anna discovered that Daniel was not waking up.

People in other rooms heard some yelling and someone claims to have heard Anna say "You caused this". Who she said it to is unknown. (It may have been Howard or it may have been her yelling it at her son while they were trying to revive him in frustration that he died on her due to an overdose?)

The inquest is "NORMAL" due to the sudden death of a 20 year old. The inquest is due to start on 10/23/06. The inquest could be because someone claims to have heard Anna say "You caused this"

It could be that the son just accidentally OD on his prescription meds (whatever they may be) and/or he mixed them with alcohol.

I wonder if it could be something as simple as him taking a heavy dose of Tylenol with a bunch of alcohol in his system. Would that explain him vomiting up blood and dying quickly from maybe kidney failure?

Her son's body is still in the Bahama's and so is she. She is free to leave anytime she likes. No word if Howard is also free to leave if he wants to.

You know that is a good observation - Maybe he was trying to smuggle drugs in and maybe the condom they were bundled up in busted.

How long is the flight from Califonia to the Bahamas?

I still wonder if it was alcohol-acetaminophen syndrome. He may have been drinking on the plane and decided to pop a bunch of tylenol. Alcohol-Acetaminophen syndrome can occur at anytime with some people even if they have mixed the 2 together in the past without problems,

"No hospital will "kick you out" if you break out your American Express card. I think it's nuts that women are sent home so quickly. Who cares if insurance won't cover a couple of extra days? Pay for it yourself and rest up."

Hospitals are rife with infection opportunities and a patient who can leave should. They are very unhealthful places.

Maybe he was suicidal and quietly took his mom's stash along with his own and gave himself a heart attack.

I think the "You caused this" statement is what brought on the inquest, it could be they found prescription drugs only in him and maybe some alcohol. Bahamas LE is now down playing it, as it being normal due to his age and sudden death.

I hope you are wrong. I don't assume that this had any thing to do with his or her money, unless he was murdered for it for some reason. But my heart goes out to Anna Nicole regardless. Losing her son must be heartbreaking for her. She is one messed up soul yes, but she is still a human being.

OK, you may be right on the infection score. But most of the people I know who leave hospitals within hours of having babies are doing so because they'd have to pay their own way. I find this baffling and nutty, given these same people spend over $100 a month on cable TV.

she has acheived legal resident status in the Bahamas by buying a house there valued over a certain $$$ amount. the new baby has legal status there as a result of the birth.

she can now use the Bahamas as a shelter against lawsuits, as well as custody claims from the father.
