believe what you like and when you're on that road and the station you pull into charges you fifty cents a gallon more than the other station you just passed before you ran out of gas, keep telling yourself you're not getting gouged! LMAO

I wouldn't be telling myself that I'm being "gouged". I would probably hit myself for not getting gas sooner. I'd also be thanking the gas station owner I'm being "gouged" at for having a gas station near where I ran out of gas to bail my sorry ass out for only 50 cents a gallon more.

OK...then why not just use the nuclear power straight?

With an extension cord?

I thought this was a gasoline thread, hence hydrogen vs. gas in cars.

First and foremost, Big Oil has decided to invest in Ethanol production. So Big Oil has decided to drive the price of gasoline down in order to discourage any further private investment in additional Ethanol plants.

Yeah they are investing in ethanol. It takes a gallon of oil to make just over a gallon of ethanol. Same difference to them. But to us, we still pay high prices. We need to rid ourselves of oil PERIOD.

BTW, about 20% of the US grid is already nuke. I think France is something like 70% nuke.

All mixed in with all the dirty coal and gas generated electricity.

It's fun to tell environmentalists those factoids.....tell them that every time they flip on a switch, there's a fuel rod somewhere glowing GREEN for them! Bwahahaha!

You HAVE to have an attendant fill up your car

Really? I didn't know that. Must be a NJ-EPA rule so us "amateur" gas pumpers don't let any volatile vapors escape. Sad.

When dell stock is required to get to work every day and is reflected in the cost of every transported good and is needed to heat homes in the winter, I'll agree with you.

You heat your home with gasoline?

I think a fair price for food would be 1/2 of what it is right now.

Thanks to the Democrats, of course.

Cuz we all know the gas price increases are caused by Republicans. Gas price decreases as caused by Democrats. Proven economic fact! ;)

The cost of fuel oil is linked to oil.

And the cost of your food will drop if oil prices fall.

I don't care, I think they should do it now, after all, it's what I think is fair. 1/2 of what it is now, it's fair because I need it and I want it and it's my opinion.

Now give it up dammit!

I just saw a station in Ontario at 2.79...lowest price I have seen in Redlands (closer to home for me,) is 2.89, but the downside is, it's Hugo Chavez's station (Citgo.)

I think that the gas that is in my tank should be $20 per gallon and the gas that is in the tank at the station should be $ .50.

That's fair.

Actually, I'd be happy just to have as many fuel choices as I have food choices. If one kind of food gets too expensive, I can pick another. So I guess you've presented another strawman example.

I get the point already. I know you stockbrokers love the high prices, and you've deluded yourself into believing it's a free and competitive market. All I can say is that I hope you've diversified and don't lose your ass if the price does collapse. I actually kind of like you because you post funny pictures and hound me in every gas price thread.

IT'S ALL BUSH AND ROVE'S FAULT! They are only lowering the gas so the Pubbies can retain control of the Congress and so Bush will win in Nov (oh that's right Bush is running). /s

So I guess you've presented another strawman example.

It is clear that you don't know what a strawman arguement is. You are really saying is that is is a poor comparison. Unfortunately for you, that doesn't work either since I never named one kind of food anymore than you named one kind of energy. I said food, all food. 1/2 of what it is now. Hurry up!

Actually, I'd be happy just to have as many fuel choices....

You think you are going to get more choices if gasoline is $1.35?
