Rachel Bilson new Wonder Woman in comic book movie written September 13, 2006

'The O.C.' star Rachel Bilson is reportedly set to play Wonder Woman in the new comic book movie.

The brunette actress - best known for playing ditzy Summer Roberts in the hit teen series - will don the famous starred hot pants and wield her gold whip in the film.

Bilson has already proved her suitability for the iconic part, after she donned a Wonder Woman outfit for a sexy seduction scene in 'The O.C.'.

A host of Hollywood stars had been tipped for the role, including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Cameron Diaz and 'Van Helsing' actress Kate Beckinsale, who turned down the part saying she "did not want to embarrass her daughter" by wearing the revealing outfit.

The character was made famous by Lynda Carter in the classic 70s TV series. Producers Warner Bros. have so far refused to confirm reports Bilson has landed the role.

She looks good for being born around the time of Woodstock, but I wonder how old that photo is?

Did anyone else see "Sky High?" I think Lynda Carter could *still* play Wonder Woman.

Personally speaking, I'd have to agree with the proposal that older women (ie. - those my age) are sexier, even if the young ones have more perfect bodies. For instance, I'd take Michelle Pfeiffer over young Rachel any day. And then I'd take her again... :-)

I bet the script sucks and the movie bombs. If it was any good, KB would have done it. OR she could have changed her mind since making Underworld but somehow I doubt it :D

yeah...

I just saw Evolution last night actually.

Not a horrible flick. It will be a cult classic I think, kinda like the first one.

Don't know if she can act or not, don't think I would notice. I vote that Adriana Lima is WW.

She's a hottie, but too "cute" to play Wonder Woman. They need somebody tougher looking (a real "woman"). Lucy Lawless would be a good candidate, IMHO.

I always thought Liv Tyler would make a good wonderwoman. She looks very much like the cartoon drawing of her.

my husband and I have thought Liv Tyler would make a great wonderwoman for years. She's tall and amazonian looking.

The thing is, Joss Whedon is already on record as stating that he wants a relatively unknown actress to play WW. His fans are hoping that he'll find an REAL amazon (read that as 6' plus brunette) to play her. Someone like Julie Strain, but younger and with acting talent.
