Doctors Tried to Save Anna Nicole Smith's Son for 22 Minutes

NASSAU, Bahamas — Medical personnel applied CPR and other lifesaving measures on Anna Nicole Smith's son Daniel for 22 minutes before he was pronounced dead, the head of the hospital said Tuesday. But there was no official word on what caused the death.

Police say the reality TV star and former Playboy playmate found Daniel Smith, 20, unresponsive Sunday morning in a chair in her hospital room, where she was recuperating from giving birth to a baby girl three days earlier, and called for help.

Police said they had no evidence that Daniel Smith had suffered a heart attack or that drugs were involved.

Old dude was near the end and wanted a busty blonde on his kneee for his last days. I believe it was as simple as that. And as far as her money from the estate, old dude was willing to pay for that privilege. The money goes to her or to his snotty kids, so why not? He won't be needing it.

According to one talking head, ANS will not likely collect a penny of her second husband's estate, who by some accounts was senile at the time of the marriage. She won only a right to sue again.

I thin it would be prudent to wait for the results of the investigation. It seems some people are jumping to conclusions regarding the presence of a third person in the room. I have visited with people in the hospital after they've given birth and it's unusual for there NOT to be several people in the room.

If what I read about ANS and Daniel is accurate, there is no way she caused or would allow another person to cause his death. It's just highly unlikely.

Also, does anyone recall the confusing verbage used by the Aruban authorities during the NH investigation? We just aren't used to the terms they use.

I read this earlier on one of the celeb newsy sites I visit (I know...bad habit). The comments posted were almost to a one questioning if were Howard K. Stern (her velcroed on lawyer) who was the third person in the hospital room. I had watched her reality show a few times. Her late son Daniel seemed to be shy and a nice kid, Stern, Esq. always struck me as creepy on the show. I wondered (at the time) if he was sticking around for his portion of ANS's divorce settlement. Weird.

U.S. Law does NOT extend to the Bahamas ... She recently became a citizen there ... for convenience of WHAT? Does anyone really believe the the Bahama law enforcement is superior to U.S. law enforcement?

Stern was always hovering around her on her reality show. Her assistant, Kimmie, had a strange obsessional relationship with Anna as well. Did you see the episode when she got a tattoo of Anna?? Bizzare!
