I've some friends that moved to Castle Rock, CO; between Denver and Colorado Springs. They've been surprised at how LITTLE snow they get in the winter. It's heavy in the naerby mountains, but realtively light down where they are, and it doesn't linger very long, either. So, they've the best of both worlds, in that respect; fabulous snow-capped Rocky Mountain views with no-snow-hassle conditions at home.

How is the weather on your side of the pond.

It's been dreary and rainy for most of October.

Not a typical Autumn at all.

Hi, I_T!

Thought about you on the last trip -- passed to the south of you on the way out, to the north on the way home. D'ja see me wave from the plane?

Sheesh! I take a few days off, and the Thread unravels!

Maintain a safe distance, KP. We need scouts on the sidelines.

Everybody remember what the Undead Thread is about, okay? It's about jokes, and witticisms, and chocolate, and sleeping late when you can, and pretending that all that crap out there doesn't really bother us.

This is an amble-by posting from the town library, so I shan't be around long. But everyone please remember: When you leave the safety and sanctity of the Flying Castle, be sure to zip up your space-suits real tight!

And wipe your feet on the mat when you return.

Hi, Irish!

I've had a chance to admire a local staircase lately. It isn't finished, but it's well-constructed, and naturally I thought of you.

The little valley I grew up in had LOTS of snow. Our house was at the mouth (within half a mile) of the canyon, and we had SNOW!

I liked it when I was younger. Then, when I was about 26, all I did was fall on my backside every time I went outside. I decided then that Central Utah was NOT a safe place for me.

It will always be "home" as my parents, aunts, uncles, etc. are buried there and lots of cousins still live there, but I don't do snow any more. I leave it for hardier relatives.
