Oh my, I hope you are feeling better. I have never had a migrane but from what people say, they are awful!

wow on the first hand witness to the event from hubby. I am sure he will always have the sight, sound, feel in his soul.. the horror & the terror.

Glad he was one that came home that day.

Thank you for posting this pix!

lol.

but yes, what is the most pitiful way to execute..okay, let me add on....maybe after the hooks, a little hot bacon grease poured atop? then put sill living creep in a cage of wild animals.

(stay on my good side too!)

Man, that is so sad RCA.. and for you too Phil. Nothing like walking on pins & needles at a fairly new job.

Hopefully management/owners will see how flaky she is & terminate her. People who stir up the workplace are very dangerous to have in your company

I spent the morning trying to get in touch with my husband who was in Cleveland in meetings. When I knew that Flight 93 was in Cleveland airspace, I became very unnerved.

Freeper and dear friend, lawgirl, and I spent hours on the phone consoling each other in our shock and horror that we were at war, but thankful to the Lord that we knew the mettle of our President, and that he had been placed there 'for such a time as this.'

At an even more personal level, I knew that our son, who had joined the Army Reserves just two weeks before, would be called to serve in this war.............and he has been.

He knew on 9/11 the reason that God had called him into the military....to defend his country.....and he has never lost that sense of purpose.

Thanks for this thread, Dolly. We just saw World Trade Center last night for the first time. The emotions are deep and the memories refreshed.

NEVER FORGET!!!

Really, I am not a violent person! I am quite calm and controlled in an emergency. But the pain I felt that morning was almost more than I could bear and I needed to visualize returning that pain to the people responsible.

I've only had a couple of these migraines - they're generated from the arthritis in my neck. Two have been bad - one has been awful! This one is pretty mild and I think the meds are doing the job. The doctor tried Imotrex on the really bad one and it immediately got infinitely worse - I thought my head was going to explode. So there's a note in my chart that says I can't take that stuff! :-}

When hubby was working in Brooklyn, I went down to visit 2 weeks after 9/11. We went down to as close as you could get at that time - which was about a block away. The following year we stayed in Brooklyn and waited until 9/12 to go to Ground Zero. It was nice and quiet there and we could walk slowly around the fence at the church to read all of the tributes people had left. Very, very moving.

I still get tears every time I see pictures from that day.

The horrible thought did occur to me.. what if Gore had been president.. oh the misery

I do too. I watched the prime-time segment (first tv since the Olympics) the other day showing the babies of 911.. cried like a baby myself when they showed the slide show of dads who perished that day.

The movie World Trade Center is awesome. I like Nic Cage's work in general but this movie really showcased his talent.

also united 93

will be writing more re: movies later

gotta get the rest of the rubbish out for pick up!

My tagline is a quote, but there wasn't enough room to add the author or to spell out September, which I prefer to do. I think Victor Davis Hanson is the author, but am not sure.

The tears are good..........and they are important.

We must never forget the pain and horror that these evil men inflicted on us.

And we must never forget that the RAT party is trying with every ounce of strength they have to make us forget....

We went to Ground Zero on March 11, 2002. The workers were still clearing the site of twisted metal and debris.

The photos I took still give me chills....... and bring tears.

btw, I just happened by Spike and saw a special called "Metal of Honor"......about the Ironworkers who cleared the site and got very little 'glory.' It's an awesome presentation, as well as wrenching, and I highly recommend watching it if they air it again.

I know, it was kind of scary to listen to what was going on. I remember even over the 2 meter (VHF, 144 - 148 Mc) band, the amateur radio operators went into emergency mode with check-ins and discussions in case if they have to roll if there was a local emergency. There was a supposedly a radar blip over the Three Rivers here in Pittsburgh that the F-16's were chasing but I think it was our Lifeflight helicopter (medical) IIRC. One "what-if" I do find scary was that Flight 93 flew right over Pittsburgh, they could have headed towards something lie the U.S. Steel building, tallest in Pittsburgh, 878 feet I think. Depending on when the passengers were trying to take over the plane, makes me shudder to think what could have happened.

One other thing, since Flight 93 was a local story here so we kept flopping back and forth between the national news coverage and local coverage for Flight 93 so the news coverage might have been different from what most of the country saw.
