Any thoughts on Leon Uris' "The Haj"? I just re-read it, and was so saddened by the duplicity of the United States and Britain towards the fledgling Israel.

Yeah, it's true. The duplicity is staggering. It has existed since Israel's founding. It exists even today. The historical proof is overwhelming that for all our talk or support, we have not and do not hesitate to abandon Israel.

The "Haj" was a great book! Oh yeah, there was much duplicity. I ascribed it to the anti-Semitism of the elites in both countries.
