Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah, it's true. The duplicity is staggering. It has existed since Israel's founding. It exists even today. The historical proof is overwhelming that for all our talk or support, we have not and do not hesitate to abandon Israel.

I am writing a very difficult scene. One of the supporting characters died, and the major characters are in the process of mourning him. It's so sad!!

Impressively windy out there. Wonder if we'll lose power.
Or are lines buried out here?

I particularly loved him during press conferences when he'd shut down stupid people asking stupid questions. My inner Chloe lives for stuff like that. Can't you just imagine a 'liberated' Rummy answering snarky questions put to him by the likes of Teddy the Swimmer, John Conyers and "Deer in the Headlights" Pelosi?

We've hardly ever lost power here, for any significant amount of time anyway. The local lines aren't all buried, but they're evidently pretty good at keeping trees trimmed off the lines.

The "Haj" was a great book! Oh yeah, there was much duplicity. I ascribed it to the anti-Semitism of the elites in both countries.

In island time? Not sure.

I wish I could disagree with you on that assertion but you are entirely correct. I am afraid it will only get worse with the demoncrats holding the house and the senate and the white house going so wobbly.

We saw that trailer on TV last night. SirKit was amazed because it lasted a full two minutes! Hmmm. DARK Spidey; looks to be vey interesting!

Can't you just imagine a 'liberated' Rummy answering snarky questions put to him by the likes of Teddy the Swimmer, John Conyers and "Deer in the Headlights" Pelosi? That's occurred to me too. Hearings of that sort might be exactly what we need. The answers to those questions would finally get some things said that *really* need to be said. But maybe they aren't stupid enough to actually do it. We'll see.
Mornin' folkses.

Actually, even though I disagree with the President on his Israel policy, I was pleased with his steadfastness during the recent war. He gave Israel all the cover she needed. It was Israel who did not use that cover and annihilate Hizbollah as the President clearly conveyed that they should.

I was thinking more along the lines of this comment from Condi Rice last month
"I believe that there could be no greater legacy for America than to help to bring into being a Palestinian state for a people who have suffered too long, who have been humiliated too long, who have not reached their potential for too long, and who have so much to give to the international community and to all of us," Rice told an audience of several hundred guests at a gala event of the American Task Force on Palestine (ATFP), a US group working to promote the idea of an independent Palestinian state. It seems as though Condi has bought into the "victimhood" of the Palestinians, so much of which is of their own making.
To: LSAggie
That is why I disagree with the Bush Israeli policy most of the time. Condi is a Soviet specialist. She is getting her briefings from the Middle East section of the State Department. This section is very anti-semitic and has actively worked to destroy Israel since before UN 181.

So today I sez to muhself, I sez...
"Self, since you have this day off you should get the leaves out of the front yard."
So, I spent two hours this a.m. doing just that. Then I came in for lunch.
After lunch, I couldn't tell where I had been.
So, I said, "I don't care."
Actually, I said, "the hell with it."
They'll be there after Christmas.

Leaves make great organic material to help your soil. You can tell your neighbor just that if he starts complaining! Besides, the next big windstorm will blow them out of your yard, anyway. ;o)
