Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Heh...point taken. But it was above and beyond his usual spinning and tail wagging. ;-)

I should try that. I bet my score is lower than yours.

Mmm, lunchtime. Leftover shrimp fried rice, yummy!

It's really weird looking out there...the sky is dark blue, but the sun is shining and it's warm!

Supposed to snow on Thursday...

Safe trip, Sam. Please let Jeanne know I have her on our Parish Prayer list for the docs to get a diagnosis and proper treatment for her!

Y'all have a Happy Hannukah and a Blessed Christmas!

I got 535.

Yikes! I got 229, but most of that is by choices we made, not stuff sprung on us, so it's not as stressful as it might otherwise seem.

We have dress rehearsal tonight.

If you move while I'm gone will you save me a room near the bathroom?

Any of you homeschool-ish types got a good online source for an Advent Guide? I want to do a daily blog entry through Epiphany. I think I need mostly just an outline with the overall themes.

Granted, I should have had this planned out a good while back. But there you have it.

Thoughts?

Ugh. Another day where I have to ask myself, "*WHY*, oh why, oh why haven't I finished my resume???"

HERE is one that seems interesting and somewhat non-denominational. I'll look on some Catholic sites to see what I can find, too.

This is a website explaining the Jesse Tree, and what the symbols mean.

OK, here is another one about the Jesse Tree with the scripture readings for each day of advent, and the representative symbols.
