Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

You're getting snow? Just rain here at the beach for now...

Yeah - a little snow here... slushy, but white.

I've been looking at the traffic cams around the area... looks like rain/snow mix in lots of places. Bellevue too.

Weather underground shows rain for today, but snow for tomorrow. I'm thinking about heading back up to the house today. Snow tomorrow would make any northbound commute a total circus. Even just a couple of inches would be a mess.

Might be wise... I think the forecast says it'll turn to rain today (maybe) but that towards monday, it's supposed to start staying really cold.

Sounds like a remake of Some Like it Hot.

I've actually never seen that movie, but Debbie Reynolds had a guest role in this one.

Tony Curtis and Jack Lemon are jazz musicians who witness a St. Valentine's Day massacre type mob hit. They try to escape the mob by dressing in drag and joining an all-girl band on their way to Miami.

Think I should tell dryer guy will come sometime after three - give it a chance to clear up?

Could go late in the morning too, I guess...would just mean I couldn't go to the Byzantine parish since they just have the one service. But that's not critical.

Go ahead and go to church, it'll be wet at least until then I think. I think we'll have to play it by ear, even after three... it's supposed to rain heavy at some point.

Snow Monday and then clear... Any chance you can pay for it, so he won't sell it, even if we can't pick it up yet? Or you could see if, on the way back, maybe it'll fit in your van.

You guys are much more useful neighbors than I was. For starters, you have a truck :-)

Stayed home this a.m. to clear off my desk and rob Peter to pay Paul. We have a run thru starting at 2:00 p.m. today and after that for the next two weeks it's work, show, sleep, work, show, sleep...

So who wants to volunteer to talk me out of doing the Christmas show next year?

Bueller?

Bueller?

Bueller?

Measured my van, compared to the average Frigidaire dryer dimensions I could find on Google. I think it'll fit. Maybe could get it on the way home from church, if he and I can move it from their place between us...

I'll call in a bit and see what he thinks. Wonder how early is too early. Too bad not everyone's a morning person...

Haven't we all tried at one time or another? ;-)

Well, if it'll fit in the van, that takes the risk out of the transport in this slop, if you can get it loaded at that end, we can unload it here, during even a short break in the weather...
