Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I'd like to rake leaves too... wish it would dry up enough to vacuum them up with the mower.

It's chilly today.... just a hair above freezin'.

It's not raining, though!

Bring on the cold, if it comes minus rain! ;-)

I couldn't see Sean playing Gandalf. In my mind, I would be seeing James Bond.

Yeah, I'd be expecting him to say "The name is Gray... Gandalf the Gray."

"The name is Gray... Gandalf the Gray."

Somehow I just can't imagine Gandalf speaking with a Scottish Burr.

If I call the dryer gal...is there a time when this would work best?

Looks like the rain is going to hold off for awhile...at least until we put anything in the truck...

Heh...

Looks like this morning is real good, if it's available, we should go.

OK - let us know when you hear :~)

When you get back from ~town~, we can also move your old one out of the way too, so we're ready to come all the way in when we do get it.

Well...went to the library and the grocery and got cash, but still no call back. Called again, got voicemail again. :-( Frustrating.

Indeed... Well, so far so good on the weather, we'll play it by ear. You want to move your old one out? Is it usable at all if this other one is no longer available?

It doesn't dry at all. Only tumbles - air, but no heat.

OK - see if you can go over an borrow a good handtruck from your landlord. Ours is really rickety and I know he has a good one.

I called again, got voicemail again. So I called the guy himself instead of the girlfriend, though he said he'd be at work today. He said he'd call her himself to make sure she wasn't just ignoring my messages since she didn't recognize the phone number and have her call me.

So there's that.

Grrr.

I'm wondering if I should return the hand truck since we aren't sure this is gonna happen or what.
