Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

mmmm...taters...
In other news, Jr. says that now that he's read "Hamlet" he understands "The Lion King."
~sigh~
Luke on the other hand said this to mom in the car yesterday.
"A trillion has 12 zeroes...that's 13 digits..." He's doing double digit addition in his head. We're slightly afraid they'll process that out of him...
g'nite...

OK, my funkling is done here! Got to get up early and work clearing the dining room tomorrow. We need to take all the kitchen cabinets off the walls, and that's where they have to go!. The dismantling won't happen until after Thursday, however. ;o)

Heh, I guess it's kinda fitting that a group of Hobbits should test as mashed potatoes. ;-)
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
OK, I'm gonna post what I got. It's dwarf bait, though.

Ducks in, and then right back ~out~ of the hobbit hole :~)
Evening everyone... Going to hit the couch now, but wanted to come in and wave!

I guess I could have been the turkey... or a tart little cranberry...

I hate to think about moving before the Holidays, but with all of this non-Jackson-Hobbit talk, should we make plans before we get bumped off the sidebar?
And, of course by saying that I mean should ~you~ make plans?

So I was having assorted troubles with my machinery...my Sims game kept trying to load to a card reader instead of a hard drive, f'r'instance, and "560 jillion GB of space required, 0 GB available" just wasn't cutting it...
I've got one o'them HP machines with the restore feature that lets you take it back to the day you brought it home. Sounds wondermous. I've spent the last 8 waking hours trying to figure out what survived and trying to restore what didn't (I seem to have lost any semblance of proper function in my TV card, f'r'instance).
And every time I start up, now, even after several automatic updates &c., I get this:

What does it mean? Is it important? What application is it referring to?
grr.
Oh...Good Morning, Everybody!!! :)
