So I was having assorted troubles with my machinery...my Sims game kept trying to load to a card reader instead of a hard drive, f'r'instance, and "560 jillion GB of space required, 0 GB available" just wasn't cutting it...

I've got one o'them HP machines with the restore feature that lets you take it back to the day you brought it home. Sounds wondermous. I've spent the last 8 waking hours trying to figure out what survived and trying to restore what didn't (I seem to have lost any semblance of proper function in my TV card, f'r'instance).

And every time I start up, now, even after several automatic updates &c., I get this:

What does it mean? Is it important? What application is it referring to?

grr.

Microsoft Office error....at least that's what a Google search brings up. Can you reinstall MS Office?

As I recall, Findfast is an indexer program of sorts - supposed to make it faster if you go to search for files in Office, but mostly it just slows the computer down. I'd disable it.
