Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Just set a good example and write.
We got a two-foot fake Christmas tree. It needs decoration.

Did you borrow our DVD of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles? I can't seem to find it.

Nope...I did have it on VHS at one point, but siblings borrowed it.
I do need to return 24 season 3. And watch season 4.

Well...I wrote some. But I dunno if I'll go next week. This week was a slightly different crowd. Let's just say foul-mouthed lesbians and leave it at that.

Well..., not Valerie is okay. Nana had a rough day yesterday. She got calls from all the siblings, each with a different version and different emotion. But she's coping better today...

Heh...not to worry, but I was beginning to think no one would be around to respond. Seems I can't cause a good scandal anymore.
Jr. got his hand smashed between some risers during practice for the youth choir scene. We were afraid it was fractured, but it's not.
He's got an ace bandage and is supposed to ice it down for a day or so. He'll be fine.

Ouch...I've had a few fingers mashed in my time. That's no fun. Which hand was it?

It was his left hand. He's right handed. So that's good.
He'll be okay in a couple of days.

Unless he loses the nails. That's always fun.
I still have one finger where the nail never grew back the same after it got slammed in a door. And there's a nerve that's out of place or closer to the surface than it should be or something. Mashed it good, I did.
I think Mom was more worked up over than I was at the time. It bled.

His fingers didn't get caught. It was the back of his hand.

Yeah, the way it swelled up right after it happened has us concerned. A nurse in the cast (who last year was the reason we took the Mrs. to the ER after her fall), suggested we get the x-ray.
Probably good that we did. Just so we know.

It's a free day for me, yay!
I'm going to see how much of the floor I can scrub before my dental appointment.
