Good morning everyone!
It would if the story wasn't way overstuffed already. ;-) Oh well...I knew the downsides to continuing a started story and I went ahead with it anyway. Main frustration now is that it really needs to end and fast and I keep finding more story it would be fun to write, albeit unnecessary.
Isn't the whole point word count? It the story is overstuffed, you can edit it out later in December, can't you?

I'm just not sure what exactly I'm going to edit out of this story. There are whole characters who I'm now rather attached to but who had no part in the original scheme of things.
And I'm also dying to get to the end and have it be a finished product, so it's hard not to start writing in a totally rushed way. That would be worse than an overinflated word count.
I totally understand your sentiment. That is the hardest discipline of all. When I am finishing up a paper, story, or song lyric, it is hard just not to become rushed and be satisfied with the substandard because I want to be done.
I could freep you every day and say "Rosie, stay disciplined. Do not write in a totally rushed way. That would be worse than an overinflated word count." I could make that my tagline. :)

No words in yesterday. Lots of playing pirate games, movie-clich-card games - the Fantasy cliche and swashbuckling pirates cliche version of "Kung Fu Samurai on Giant Robot Island". The anime con staff meeting. So my geek quotient is back up there.

Good morning. I noticed your tarp over the lawnmower is down from the wind last week... have you been out to look at it and see if it can be repaired?
Ugh...no. I did notice it was down and meant to check while it was dry, but I forgot.
Guess I need to go do that. From a quick look, it just looked like the middle bar had come down.
Do you have a few days off before starting the new job?
OK - Let me know if you want help with it. Maybe just weight it down over the lawnmower for now, we might get a little wind today, and then when it's dry we'll fix it.
Okay got the new cpu/heatsink installed and it's definately quieter. Now it's the front case fan that seems to be making the most noise.
Arctic Silver is some kewl stuff! Probably comes in handy against vampires and werewolves too.
Yup, all this week what with Thanksgiving being in the way. Talon's taking off Tuesday and Wednesday. It should be nice for both of us.

Try a foam gasket for that fan. You might even be able to make your own if you have some sort of thin foam material around the house, like that pink stuff used to wrap electronics with.

Back from church. Got a few hours to goof off and maybe write...then there's a "write-in", though if it's like last week's they don't do much in the way of regular old writing. I may go, I may not. Especially since my nemesis with the Neo will probably be there. Heh.
Okay...will try. I can try that foam-type material that comes packed in the glass pipet boxes from werk.
We went on a futile quest for an open used bookstore - they all take Sundays off - and are doing a little cleaning. I think I'll make some sort of breakfasty type bread to have tomorrow.
Just got finished watching We Were Soldiers. Such a powerful film; very sad, but also uplifting seeing the bravery and determination of men in battle, fighting for each other as much as their country.
Guess I'm heading to the write-in. I'll be late...maybe I'll miss some of the silliness.
Unless it's all silliness, like last time. And not even fun silliness, durn it.
