Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah, but the way it occurs to every last one of them to say that at the exact same moment is just...creepy.

Yeah, but the way it occurs to every last one of them to say that at the exact same moment is just...creepy. It's the grownups, too. The script requires them to say "rich chocolate ovaltine (TM)" so many times, it's like chalk screeching on a blackboard.

Yeah...those, too. I mean, really...no one talks like that! And I'm pretty sure very, very few people get together with friends to extensively discuss brand name beverages - by their full names, of course.
Ungh...

Too right. I think I've got a can of Swiss Miss and a half can of Meijer Store Brand up in the cupboard right now, and they're both called "cocoa".
"Course, if someone wanted to pay me....

Morning Hair, How's Cyn, anything untoward in the stables last night?

Good morning... Both mares are nervous, but everyone's holding steady at the moment... The longer they stay in without having anything kill them, the more maybe they'll think it's safe. They're being tested this morning with thunder and lightning and pouring rain hammering the barn. I'm a nervous wreck waiting for sunup so I can let them out, and I don't like that. I want them to feel safe in the barn during this crap weather. They've had a trauma, it'll take time for them to get over that.
~tap~ ~tap~ ~tap~... Maybe I need ~more~ espresso :~D

This weather is wild.
Odd time of year for thunder and lightning.
How are the animals taking it?

I like "White Christmas". And "A Muppet Christmas Carol", "Christmas Vacation", and "A Christmas Story". Other than that I think most Christmas movies are too sappy for words. And not enough about the real meaning of Christmas.

Horses are holding steady, Gidget wants to go bark at it, Homer would like to be in our laps.

I think mine could be in the middle of a war zone, and as long as their own little space wasn't being affected, they'd all just sleep through it.
It has its pluses and minuses.

To: HairOfTheDog
I just think if someone every broke in, they'd all look over and say "You aren't going to bother this pillow, are you? Well...all right, then."
