Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yikes is right :~\
We're having a Corin day.
We're off to town now, to buy some solutions.
Back later!
To: RosieCotton
OK - we're about to head to town for a light we can plug in from the house.

I'm guessing that coffee house I like to go to has awesome hot chocolate, too. I haven't had anything there that *wasn't* awesome.
Funny...I recommended it first thing and it got shot down...but after last week's fiasco (and apparently it was the second time a meeting place had been closed), it's now the site for tomorrow's write-in. *sigh* If I were ML...
Wrote a bunch by hand this morning, but still have to type it in.

One of my favorite supporting characters died...so, it was pretty traumatic for the rest of the characters. I did 25 pages.

Wow, your numbers are great.
Notice my word count not changing much. That was the other writers showing up. There's this one who is as opinionated and talkative as either Talon or me and, um, we've had discussions of philosophy, physics, philosophical physics, genetics, and pyramids.

That's a great number of words! Wow. I could do that much if I weren't being distracted :-)

I wasn't even there with other writers, but I was still getting distracted at times...lot of talkers there today, for some reason. And a guy who kept staring at me. And the back room was booked for a meeting, so I couldn't hide where it's quieter. That's where we NaNo folks are going tomorrow. Yay - I get to make a write-in for the first time this year! Of course, if they'd gone along with that location in the beginning...but no, of course not.
Typed up what I wrote this morning - 1700 words, about. Could technically goof off for the rest of the day...kewl.
Think I'll watch some movies.

Got a few more words in. The coffee shop closed and kicked us out or we'd still be there. It was a cool experience. And I got some of my words in.

What kinda coffee house closes in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday? Obviously you aren't in Fort Collins anymore. ;-)
Congrats on the word count!

It's getting there. I'd like to get another 2k tonight.
Yup, CR is not exactly a college town. It's a great coffeeshop though.

Well, it's bed time here in Tel Aviv, but I did manage to do 8,500 words in the last two days. (The majority of them yesterday) I'm getting ready to start Chapter 18.
I hope you meet your goal. Both you and Rosie are writing machines!

We have had three gorgeous fall days here, but the rain is coming. It's supposed to get here in the morning and rain all day. But with the nice weather, we are almost finished with replacing the loose nails in the siding and painting the siding and trim on the South side of the garage.
Yesterday, Joseph dug weeds and cleared out some planting beds, and today I started chopping down a couple of Japanese hollies that had become terribly overgrown. I'll finish doing that job when it stops raining.

We won't really know till we put her in tonight. We gave her a tube of Tryptofan though :~)
We've cut all the power to the barn and are running auxiliary cord out there for a shop light. Just to eliminate electrical issues as the cause. I find it hard to believe, but maybe there's bad electrical juju she can sense but we can't. We're grasping at straws really, but ~something~ panicked her beyond reason.
To: HairOfTheDog
That's really weird. I hope she settles down.
