I am going to enjoy all the moronic MSM questions like asking Bush 'now that the dems are in power will you fire Rummy?

How are you doing? I'm not that upset about things because they are things over which I have no control anyway. We have so much going on day to day here, that I can't spend much time worrying about what others might be doing.

Do there look to be enough absentee ballots to allow Allen to pull this out? Some folks in AZ are sure hoping that will happen in the case of J D Hayworth.

How did the Marriage Amendment fare in VA?

I'm okay. Sad, but okay. I personally conceded about 7:15 this morning.

The vote has yet to be certified and I'm sure it will tighten up, but I don't think he'll find 4,000 votes. Most likely though, he'll call for a recount. I honestly hope he doesn't.

I'd forgotten I promised to do a wrap up on the blogs. So I have to do that. Then I want to step away from it for a while.

Rumsfeld's resignation though, is a kick in the gut. Thanks a helluva lot for keeping your promise Mr. President.

Tonight we have the theatrical debut of our Christmas show from last year. Going to the cinema to see us on the big screen.

I should soon have an extra DVD if folks are interested in passing it around like last year.

The good news is that the GOP is simply better at being the minority party. We never really got the hang of being in charge after 94.

The culture we're all immersed in bears a subtext that liberalism has a natural entitlement to power. Conservatives (non-liberals) are usurpers, and never really can legitimately exercise power, even if they by accident wound up with the most votes.

I see two years of quasi-parlimentary government, with a continuation of a judicial oligarchy as a backup means of staying in power. My biggest hope is that the RATS' moonbats won't be hushed, so we can see their treasonous lunacy on display every day.

Michigan voted to continue being #50 in terms of economic performance, and #1 in unemployment. The 800-pound gorilla in the living room that nobody dared mention was the public employee unions, which continue to grow and prosper at the expense of everything else.

Two small rays of hope were the near-landslide approval of the anti-affirmative-action constitutional ammendment (which the University of Michigan announced it will ignore), and the defeat of the ammendment that would build in inflation-proof funding increases for the teachers unions.

I should start by buying some heat.

Seriesly, consider a FN PS90 carbine. It's pricey, but it's the closest thing to a "miracle weapon" I've ever used in my 50 years of shooting (my dad started me out at age 9). It makes the average shooter perform like an expert, and an expert totally awesome.

I can honestly say with all the guns I've fired, if I had to have only one, it would be the PS90. It's fun (if not yet cheap) to shoot, has great inherent accuracy, superb ergonomics, and an effective point-and-click capability. The round does not have the same penetration danger indoors that other rifle rounds have, and with an effective max range of 150 meters, still outreaches the spray-and-pray of the average gangbangers AK47.

Of course, this is all from my experience with rifles. I'm a firm believer in the adage, "a handgun is what you use to fight your way back to the rifle you should have never left behind."

It would certainly be a huge upgrade from my present "door-answering-when-I'm-not-expecting-anyone" equipment.

Present equipment is that Cuda I got at Shootmoot.

I'm beginning to think this is the best outcome of a lot of bad scenarios. My best hope is that RAT moonbattery runs rampant, and disgusts the normal folks enough to keep RATS from elected office in 2008. They can do far less (although still a significant amount) damage in 2006-2008 than 2008 and beyond.

And I was listening to Sean Hannity play his "hate Hannity" voice mail today. Mostly it consisted of just the words "Nancy Pelosi". One drunken RAT slurred it into what sounded like "Nazi Pelosi". Sounds accurate to me.

Sorry I missed you Corin. It is good to take a breather, and come back ready to go. As you said, you have your state elections in a year, and at that point we will pretty well know what our choices will be for GOP presidential nominee!

From what they are saying, the decision was made on Rumsfeld no later than Sunday, he was our longest serving SecDef ever, and certainly had a right to be relieved from his front-line service.

Oh, I think that will be a given. They'll be calling for Bush's impeachment by their new 'majority' in the Senate and House, and believing that the country must be behind them, because they so resoundingly defeated the Republicans, they won't let the Dems off the hook.

It will be an interesting two years until the next Presidential election.

Did I mention the conservatives moved to another planet in my story? Most of 'em, anyhow.

If only that could really work.

Ungh...home. Long day, but good. I'm getting new duties, which makes me feel a LOT better about the job.
