Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Just got back from voting. The place was hopping! I think it's the first time I've had to wait in line.
Hopefully, they're all soccer haters.

I can write during lunch...sometimes five minutes here and there. But I'm really unhappy with the current scene. Coming out wayyy too overdramatic and forced.
In other news, there is a meeting going on in the next room. One of the guys has a voice that is making me cringe. Eeeeeeg.

The place was hopping! I think it's the first time I've had to wait in line. I think ours was a little busier than usual, but since we can't vote "straight ticket" in Missouri anymore, it took a more time to mark your vote for each candidate. And then there were the mouth-breathers who had to read with their lips....

Heh...I brought my cheat sheet sample ballot for the judges. No Dem on the ballot for state rep. Hehehehe...

We forgot to look up judges.... I just left 'em all blank. And the county ag offices. And we don't have a senate seat up this time so it was mostly just statewide offices.

All our county "at large" legislative candidates were democrats, no republicans even filed. Our republican candidate for County Executive didn't send out one flyer, we all know this county is run, albeit poorly, by the democrats.
To: Corin Stormhands
Well.
The polls are closed.
It is what it is now.

I'm listening to Jerry. People are complaining about no information about the judges.

I was amused at Naples; it is flat and goes on for MILES in every direction except into the Gulf. Clare's school will be moving out of Naples next Fall. They're building a permanent campus out near Immokalee, and a town along with it! I'm sure you've read about Ave Maria in the press in S. Florida.

Have the docs given Jeanne any indication about what might be the problem? I know the John's Hopkins folks will be able to help.

Our polls here are open until 8. I'm hoping mightily that Steele and Allen have won this! I hold out NO hope for the Republican candidates here, with the exception of our local State Representative who is Republican, but is always out there with all the local groups, so everyone knows her, though they all vote Democrat for most all other offices here.
We were happy to cast our final vote AGAINST Teddy the Swimmer!

CNN says Mawwage wins in Virginia.
This early that's a good sign for Allen.

You could put in a LONG movie. I know one that has little short people, elves, dwarves, wizards, and even some of them Rangers! You might actually have that one at your house.

Thought about that for recovery if I need it. We also have first two discs of 24, season 2.
But I'm glued to the 'puter and the TV.
