Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Matthew asked me to make him a hamburger, which I did. It was the best burger I ever made and I called him out of his room, sat him down in the living room with this very series look on my face and said "Matthew...I need to speak with you." He looked really worried. I said "You need to prepare yourself mentally for the best burger you've ever eaten."
ROFLOL!!!
He says "Oh MOM!! Just give me the burger!"
HA hah ha!!!

Hey, in other news I officially have a sidekick! Wheee! (I get to mentor an intern.) It's been a while since I've done a happy dance at werk. Heh.

Hole in roadway on northbound I-5 at Capitol Lake overpass The Olympian
A hole has reportedly developed on the right lane of northbound I-5 at milepost 101 near the junction of U.S. 104 in Olympia at the Capitol Lake overpass. Officials are monitoring the area and waiting for a steel plate and available crew for traffic control, according to the state Department of Transportation Web site.
Now... what's interesting about that is... That whole section is all quite high up, part overpass, part man made berm. They wrote it backwards, it's mile 104 where Hwy 101 is... where the lake is on one side and the lower falls park is on the other. My question is, are they ~curious~ about whether putting a plate over the hole is really solving the whole problem? :~)

Yep, because that's when I'm finally able to sit down and read through the day's posts. I just keep responding to posts, and I'm the only one talkin! ;o)

The better looking dwarf has an announcement:
After due consideration of current stress factors, I have decided ~not~ to continue with Nanowrimo this year. For the following reasons:
1) I have no real story line, and don't care where the story goes.
2) It is currently the one stress factor in life that I can get rid of all on my own.
So, there's that.

I had no idea g'nad was writing! ; ]
Seriously, though. You've proved to yourself that you can do it, so cross that off the list. If it's just going to add stress instead of relieving it then you've made the right decision. Absolutely. 100%.

Yar. I'm a pirate. Or something. I have a big stupid eye patch on and it's making writing not that fun. I hate having this eye infection.
