Oh, lovely.
You mean we get *more* rain??
*claps hands*
We'll have to keep an eye on the warnings for the Deschutes and the Chehalis... might be worth a trip to go look :~)
Have y'all BOTH considered sitting this Christmas show out, and just enjoying watching it from the audience? No need to pile another layer of stress.
Fixing to go to Mass, then the guys will get the furnace going tonight; at least the downstairs one. The upstairs one will have to wait another day or two. Fortunately, it will warm up a little later in the week; unfortunately with the warmth will come the rain.
Kewl!
Have you ever heard the Canadian folksinger, Garnet Rogers? Nice voice.
Um, no. ;o)
Oh, come on! It's not everyday you get an offer like that! ;-)
We consider not doing it just about every year. But at the same time, it's just something we do. The show itself isn't always the stress factor. And we do like being with our friends.
We did talk about skipping next year, but that will be the first year Luke can be in it. So we'd be there all the time anyway.
That said, the DVD from last year should be out soon. We're seeing the "premiere" at a local cinema on Wednesday.
Well...I'm off to try to find that place. If I do find it...I'll be twenty minutes early, but I have a feeling I'm going to do some driving in circles. And the whole area is a maze of one-way streets.
Ungh.
On the bright side, if it's *not* horribly hard to get to, I'll have another coffee house to add to my file of nice-places-to-hang-out.
OK, I'm feeling a good bit of righteous indignation right now. I did finally find the coffee house, after running in circles for half an hour - it was on a side street by the town transit center, and the directions I had didn't work well.
It's pouring rain. POURING. Hard to see, and my van was sliding a bit in places. If I'd know it was that bad, maybe I wouldn't have tried it.
And I get there, and it's closed. Big closed sign in the window, no lights on, no cars around.
I'm getting less and less impressed with our ML as the days go on.
On the bright side, I guess I wouldn't have wanted to drive home in that rain after dark anyway. But...that was a waste of nearly an hour of my day. I'm ticked off.
Aw, man....
We just spent the entire day replacing a toilet. Three trips to Lowes later and it's done. We have l33t plumbing skillz now.
Notice my word count has not increased today... but it's time to play with pirate ships.
I got in a bunch of writing, but I'm stuck again, mostly because I'm trying to decide if it's absolutely necessary to the plot for secondary main guy to have a kid out of wedlock. I don't like it, but since his later wife is something of a gold digger (though he doesn't see it), it may be required.
Ungh...toilets. I need to fix one of mine, but I've been putting off buying the kit.
Didn't you jiggle the handle?
I've just put in "Joe versus the Volcano".
He has a brain cloud.
That's such a fun movie! :-)
I'm officially tired of rain.
And we have what, about 177 days to go?
You'll get used to it... You're just spoiled from summer is all.
