But in opera, the tenor always gets the girl...usually. Mozart operas are different. Either the baritone gets the girl or girls are handed out all round. ;-)
Heh...listening to opera as we speak. Yes, I'm odd that way.
I take it then that you are a tenor. I'm tone deaf and can only sing in the key of flat.
Were the boys who went around McClellan
Went around McClellan
Went around McClellan
Were the boys who went around McClellan..
Bully boys, hey!
Bully boy, ho!
If you want to have a good time, jine the cavalry!
Jine the cavalry!
Jine the cavalry!
If you want to catch the Devil
If you want to have fun
If you want to smell Hell
Jine the cavalry!
*Sigh*
UNC Notre Dame game is getting ready to start.
Where's muh likker?
Appears firewoodguy is a no show, tis a beeeutiful day and hauling wood may not appeal to his 'sensitive' side...In other news, LSA cut the grass and since she bagged it, it went nicely into the compost bin. I raked leaves into piles and then proceeded to make bite sized pieces of them with the lawnmower. All the leaves raked and chopped fit into one leaf bag. Dang the yard looks good, should stay that way for hour or two. All done, gypsygirl is tired, she played hide and go see with her chipmunk friend around the old wood pile. Time for feet up surfing and then a bit of rest. Hmmm. ginger beer, sure does cut the leaf dust. bbl
Sensitive firewoodguys....fercryinoutloud!
My compost bin is full of tomato plants and I've got some kitchen stuff that needs to go in there. The Plan is to rake the leaves over the non-bulb beds and dig the stuff in.
The game is on. If it gets too bad, I'm headed out with the rake.
Layla Tov! It's bed time here in Tel Aviv. Everyone have a great weekend.
The wood guy just called and will be here soon. Hurray!!
9310 and I convinced Big'ol to take me to dinner. No dishes, no cleaning - just more writing. Hurray!
Yay!
I'm making bratwursts. We still have to get the kraut and beer but once that's here I'll dump 'em in the slow cooker and leave 'em for hours.
Great word count! I want to get more in today...
Could the rain at least slow down once in awhile?
Ungh...pretty miserable day. Hard to get motivated to do anything when its like this. Just been watching movies and goofing off.
Here too. It couldn't get much more wet.
I think the ground is getting pretty well saturated. I just hope my house floats, if worse comes to worst...
Even Cisco doesn't want to be out, and usually he likes to be outside during the day even when I'm home and even when its wet. He's sleeping with his head on my pillow again. I've tried to discourage such behavior, but...
In 'Don Giovanni', I believe that the baritone gets the Devil (or is that the bass gets the Devil).
You're up on blocks, I don't think you'll float away. :~) Any sign of leaks anywhere in that place?
It's leaking around the back door. I think if I had a better roof on that little porch, it'd be OK. And I could probably seal that door with duct tape during the winter. ;-)
The Devil gets the bass, I'd say. ;-)
I've not seen that opera in full. If I get Netflix again...I may have to see what's available on DVD.
Oh - well, that's not good. It's ok around the front and those windows though?
Some water is getting into the frame of the kitchen window, but not leaking into the house so far as I can tell. And at least the roof appears to be holding up...
Mine?
