Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

It is really gonna be fun, because I love salvage yards, but can't go by myself...they seem to have the occasional questionable character there. And we can't usually take the boys and get anything accomplished, because someone has to watch the boys, the area is usually a bit on the dangerous side.

So I'm looking forward to really rummaging around in some old Beetles tomorrow!

Don't you have enough problems without me moving up there near you?

2J, why do you feel you can't use a hot glue gun? *I* can use a hot glue gun. It's like a liquid nails gun or a cookie press, sort of. Same sort of motnions required and about zero skill.

I was just bein' silly.

Trying to equate learning to weld with using a glue gun.

Heh heh...

Oh. I thought that was silly but who knows, you could have a glue gun phobia.

You know I'm going to be in a parade on Saturday, right? After the parade, my folks are going to get the boys...actually going to pick them up at the end of the parade.

Steve and I are then going to a party that the VW Club is having.

We keep hoping someone will bust out and say "Ach Ja!! I'll weld that heater channel on for ya!"

Evenin' all.

I had a very productive day today. Kind of unusual.

Can't complain. :)

I'm trying real hard not to get sick...I've got a scratchy throat, an ear ache and bit of congestion.

I don't wanna get sick! I've got too much fun stuff planned for the next few days!

Steve'll be home soon and then we're going to go get a range. A girl from BA CHEF gave me her electric range and I'm going to keep it out in the garage and use it out there on hot days so I don't heat up my house. It's bigger than my current range and I can use it as a second oven for Thanksgiving!

Heh!

Cod Liver Oil and Vit C, chica.

I'm struggling with my annual, week-long Allergyfest. Every year. Just one week.

Ung.

Ugh, we're fighting colds here. I really would like to just stay in bed tomorrow but I don't want to take two sick days in two weeks. Plus it's not that bad. But ugh.

Oh, you're funny.

I am working on NaNo prep now... reading two years ago's nano story which has the same main characters in different roles and setting and such. If that makes sense. To me they're the same characters even though they aren't really.

I am feeling really good about this story. I have been trying to write it since I was 16 and it's feeling closer to right than it ever has.
