Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Good evening!

Tonight we went out for Mexican food... and followed that up with getting Rosie drunk and watching The Big Lebowski and Spinal Tap.

Hey, I'm not drunk! But everything *did* get rather funnier than usual towards the end there...

LSA was restacking the firewood yesterday afternoon, gypsygirl was quite enthusiastic about the sniffs around the bottom of the firewood rack, appears the chipmunk was there and scampering amongst the bottom.

I've got one that's taken up redidence in my planter box. I'm planning on tearing down the box in front of the living room windows, grade it out, and plant azaleas there in the spring. Not to worry....he's got a second home in the other planter box.

Heh, every chipmunk deserves a 'summer place'. Sounds like a good plan for the planter box. Ah, suburban wildlife.

Heard the radio spot for the soccerdeal, believe they mentioned 'children' about six times in 30 seconds. sigh.

Heh...if it's really for the "chiiiildreeen" they should have them playing a real sport like baseball or football, not some Euroweeenie crap.

Well, a complete reinstall (including formatting the HD) would be what Rose or I would do... of course there are dangers, such as losing some files you forgot to back up, or losing some settings or configuration that you have "just right". So, before doing it, make sure you first triple-check what you want to back up, copy down all the settings you need to have (copy off your "favorites" list in IE, check your internet and network settings, etc.)

It can be a little daunting, so if you wanted to look into a clean up program first, maybe that would be better for you. I've never used one though, so I can't make a recommendation. Rose has been distracted by work-stuff, but maybe I can get her opinion on it...
