We watched it the other day, too. I need to get that soundtrack someday.
A SuziQ SUPER funkle!
~snif~
Kayaking was vey cool. We rented a two-person kayak from a gear shop that also does rentals. Now we need to get ourselves one.
No kidding, but a lot of folks working at that place are kinda dippy. I'm glad it's a temp assignment. I'm having kind of a hard time right now for a combination of factors - not really a hard time but I'm not getting much daily human interaction other than with Talon. Who is quite enough but I do miss talking to intelligent people at work or just having people to bang elbows with. Add that to my sudden lack of time or access to the HH and I'm vaguely moody.
As far as humans go, you could do far worse. :)
Well, heck yeah, I'm not complaining about him! He has been very understanding about that and all my other little neuroses.
During NaNo we will try to make some write-ins and those always were great fun in Fort Collins, hopefully they will get my people-quotient up to carry me through to Christmas and family visits.
I'm not sure about the local NaNo folks. I'm going to miss the Fort Collins gang...
So far of the local group we have several who say there's no way they want to meet at coffee houses because they need hard liquor in order to write, and another who says she can't do any kind of kick-off on Halloween because "my family is pagan and that would be like asking someone to be away from family on Christmas". And that's just a few examples.
Ungh.
I loved the Fort Collins write-ins... *snif*
I miss the Alley Cat. And Mugs.
"It was a dark and stormy night with no plot in sight. Naked bunnies and squirrels packed a seedy bar listening to the crazed cacophony by the chipmunk band set up on the corner stage."
Heh... well at least they're colorful :~)
Good morning everyone!
Yeah...there's that. I could add 'em to my plot if I got bored.
But so far they only want to meet at some place downtown that I've never heard of. And that involves *parking* in scary places. So I dunno if I'll go.
Maybe I'll go back to the other writing group at the bookstore...the more innocent one where they just write about lesbian love affairs and how pagan children are ostracized.
Err...or not.
Well, just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it's an obscure place downtown... You haven't been here that long, remember? What was it? Remember?
Le Voyeur.
But anywhere *downtown* means it's hard to park, doesn't it? Or is there a big lot somewhere I'm unaware of?
OK - that sounds obscure - I've never heard of it :~)
I think it's kind of a lounge/restaurant that often has live jam band type music.
To me, that says "den of hippie iniquity".
Yay.
I have a hankering for some pizza. Do we wanna do that tonight before Lost?
Since I didn't end up keeping the dog, I think I owe you guys pizza. ;-)
Sounds good to me!
