Oh - well good to know he's going to be in good hands! They must be the ones that clipped and treated the sores then. Well done that you kept him safe till she could find him. How'd he get out?
ooops - HER? She lifted her leg to pee!
I guess she went out during the day and had her in the barn, since she was still a little unsure about leaving her with her own dogs unsupervised. And she escaped.
That doesn't make sense to me.
But I didn't get a good look at the plumbing, either.
*sigh*
In any case, the lady seemed to know about the sore hindquarters and all, so...I guess she was legit.
But that doesn't make sense.
Oh - well did you ask if you could adopt her? :~)
Did you talk to her long about reactions to the cats and all of our dogs? That would be good for her to know.
She asked about that...I told her as much as I'd seen.
Well, not squatting might have to do with the sores too... she might be sore under there.... no, we didn't look. At least I felt and identified correctly that she didn't have any eerrrmmm jewels.
And the vet / vet tech didn't say anything either. So if we goofed, at least we were in good company. ;-)
Well, it'd only been really embarrassing if you'd had her several weeks, and had gotten him neutered :~)
All's well that ends well, unless you were startin' to bond with her... were you sad to see her go?
A little, I admit. But it's not like I really need another pet...
No one ~needs~ another pet :~)
What are the requirements this year?
I've got:
wanna do ninjas again this year? I only say that because of of my characters takes TaeKwon Do. One of the other boys doesn't have a clue about the martial arts spectrum and thinks TaeKwon Do = ninja.
I hope the requirements aren't too odd this year. I'm writing a science fantasy and some things wouldn't quite fit.
Talon and I suggest an animatronic strip club. Nobody has to go there and it can be adjusted to fit the setting ("scandalous puppets" or something)
Um... ok so we have issues.
I'm a bit stiff today. We kakyaked 19 miles yesterday and while we took it pretty easy that was a long way. I also have sunburn on my cheeks and it looks a little odd.
Good Morning, glad to hear that 'Hurley' wasn't "a dumped in the country" dog. He, er, she was a pretty girl and will doubtless be placed with a good home through the Malamute Rescue. Just posting your No. 3 picture should get the telephone ringing at their place.
Well, OT, this another great day for the great outdoors, painting and planting, productive hobbits we are.
Mmm...planting...
I still have a few square feet of dirt along the front of the house to churn up, and then hopefully will make a frame to go around that will make it look tidier, and hold soil in. Then I'm going to bring over as much soil as I can recoup from the vegetable garden and plant my bulbs.
If Cisco doesn't dig 'em up, I'll have a pretty nifty display come spring. But that may be a big if.
Indeed, I'm glad Hurley got home safe. It wasn't safe for her/him to be loose on the road.
How'd the woman get your number anyhow? Did she call the pound, or did she see the flyer at the store?
She saw the flyer at the store.
She called me from home, but it was close enough that it only took her five minutes or so to get here in her car.
I can't remember exactly where she said she lived, but it sounded like just across Littlerock and a little way down...not sure which direction.
She said she mostly had bassets, and one had gotten loose years ago, and someone over here held onto it for her, but I said I'd only been here a short time.
