Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Heh heh...no...

Apparently it was an outdoor concert and they were just on the side of the road.

They're all exhausted, though...already in bed! Steve worked on the rims for a bit, but only half-heartedly. Mostly he just listened to me talk about my Bug plans for the immediate, near, short-term and long-term.

Apparently, he did pretty good! Steve said he drove it up a hill. A standard shift F150 pickup!

Hey OT...did you stick a needle through your earlobe?

I finished watching the new documentary that came along with the super-platinum LOTR DVD series. It was interesting, especially if you're a fan. A learned a little more about how the movie was made, and a bit more about some of the actors and directors.

There weren't too many bloopers in the documentary, but I found the scene amusing where Liv Tyler has to get on her horse, and he turns his head back and tries to bite her knee when she puts her foot in the stirrup. She squealed for help from the wrangler, rather than smacking the horse on the snoot.

More highlights if anyone's interested.

Is he over there now? We're about to head to bed, he may have to hunker under one of our houses if he gets cold.

None of them wanted to come back in after being cooped up for two days.

Off for my first day of work! I wouldn't mind a few good-first-day prayers if anyone's got a few lying around :-)
