The Hobbit Hole XXXI - Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

We watched the last half of Blown Away in Hi-Def. WHOA!
I had forgotten that Lloyd Bridges, Jeff's Dad was in that movie, too.

Well done! 60 points to you. Do you want to keep what you have, or go for the showcase? :)

I don't know! I could tell that Steve was, well, maybe he just thought the whole thing was funny, but he called on the cell phone and we didn't talk long...I'll text him here in a bit and find out when he's coming home.

Nothing too much planned for today...OT said she'd be heading home at 2pm at the latest. When Steve gets here, we're just planning on working on the other two wheels, getting them ready for tires.

The house is very quiet...OT's still asleep.

OT is still sleeping and there's coffee brewing? You must have worn her out. :-)

Been up for a while, coffee made, got a paper, walked gypsygirl, been out and about, need to do some watering and misc. plant stuff.

Well, my coffee brewing was a little far away to have woken her up :~)

Quiet morning at the beach house... no boats out yet, not much stirring at all.

Morning!

Looks like the boys survived the concert.

I'm not sure when I'm headed back...no later than 2. "Don't travel at night," and all that. Nice day for driving, though.

I handed out the last new 5710 HH knife i had this week. Lt. Architect Dewd (USNR) is a guy I work with occasionally. He is a Sea Bee. I learned he went to play in the big sandbox for a while, and has recently returned.

Have you depleted your inventory of Hobbit Hole knives? How many more should I send you?

Also, how many did you give away, so I can update the total on our site?

For anybody who hasn't visited lately, you'll see that we're dealing in a lot more than just pocket knives now. The NEW! IMPROVED! Hobbit Hole

Looks like it'll be a great day for driving.

In other news, got a new bulb for the rechargeable light, whoohoo. Turns out the bulbs are in 'power tools'. The guy in the red vest says 'yup, we sell a couple every week - those old lights seem to last a long, long time.' 14.4 volt, nice bright light...

Watering the bushes and trees, ground is really soaking it up.

Hehehe...we're back from Lowe's. 2J got some Rustoleum products for her Precious and I picked up some leather gloves and snips for the window project. They didn't have any Oxo snips so I got Task Force instead. I also picked up some decorating pamphlets. I'd like to know what colors Eddie Bauer and Laura Ashley would paint their kitchens.
