I agree...the tides food was better. It was very good last night, but The Tides is just exceptional.
Didn't I eat Ramius's share?
The concert was just pennywhistle heaven. I swear, I thought my face would crack in two, I smiled so much. It really was an awesome experience. I'm considering becoming a bone fide groupie.
At one point, the lead whistle player, Kevin Crawford, bumped the table with all his whistles and flutes on it. OT and I were RIGHT by that table...about 4 rows back...and I believe we all three nearly had a heart attack! His very expensive flutes and whistles nearly rolled off the table and he caught them with his hip! Spilled water all over the table and floor.
They were also selling whistles at the CD table and they were Chieftans...beautiful whistles...but biggun's. D and G whistles with Lunasa stamped on it. Only $160! Yowch!
Anyway...we were doing ok, then about mid-show a person whom OT described as "Artsy-Fartsy" sat down beside us and was a real "Lookit me!" type. It was ok, because she bellowed out at one point "Tell us about your instruments" and that Kevin guy went into some detail about his flute. So that was ok. The guitar guy sat down for that! LOL!
Got home around 11pm and I made the pre-waffle batter. Went to bed fairly exhausted.
Now we're off to the festival...I have my camera THIS time! Becky is coming over this evening and we'll post some pictures then.
The jedis have gone camping for today and tomorrow.
See you later!

We did talk about you last night...wished you coulda been here too. You would've loved it. We were just right by the stage, not too close, to where I necks hurt, but just back enough. And right by the Crawford guy.
So we could feel your spirit here with us!
OK! See you guys later.

Glad you had a good time... I think we would have all liked pictures of you two stuffing your faces, but we'll just have to imagine it :~)
Alright thread... we're out of here... heading up to the beach house. Have a good Saturday, everyone!
It's baaad to go grocery shopping whilst hungry.
On the plus side, normally I wouldn't have bought punkin bread just because it was near the entrance, and I did today. And it's gooood.
Now what to do? Ungh.
We're back!
Don't believe a single word OT says!
We're having a BLAST!!
I mean a great time! It was hot and crowded. But so much fun! I'll post pictures here in a sec.
We're home for now, going to rest up a bit before heading out to eat with Becky.
Heh heh!!
I'm sitting here listening to OT play her whistle and checking my email...
The jedis are gone...odd feeling, that.
Okay.....remember us at the Tides with an Irish pub background and a big ol' glass of Guinness in front of me and you're there!
OT
Uhhh....no. Wine fest, which I let slip in front of the Jedis.
I imagine I'm a bad influence on the Jedis...I sit on my "butt", drink "wine", and spit grape seeds out in the vinyard.
OT
ROFLOL!!!

Then the jedis and Steve left to go camping.
Here we are at the festival! Our fee included a beautiful etched wine glass with Stone Bluff Cellars emblem on it...very nice. We had a picture taken with this old truck...
Then we stopped and had some free samples and listened to a band under this tent...
Here we are on the tour of the winery...we ended up in a building with some really good cheese on melba toast...OT and I pigged out.
OT, acting silly....
Here's an old car we passed on the road...
I love that old truck!! When I was in elementary school, my Daddy had a navy blue truck that looked just like that!
So the venue for the concert must have been pretty small, huh? There used to be a couple of places in this area that hosted folk type concerts, and held no more than 150 people. Those were great shows. We saw Tommy Makem once; he used to sing with the Clancy Brothers, doing Irish music.
Looks like you had fun!
Talon and I went to a gun show. We didn't buy anything. Then we went to the range and shot a bunch of holes in paper.
Paynoattentionmanbehindcurtain is here! We're off to eat Tex-Mex!
Will post pictures later.
