Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

They've pretty much given my officemate's desk away ... and his paperwork isn't even finalized yet. To make it worse, they're trying to give it to a new intern. They brought him in 'cuz they fired the other intern.
*sigh*

There was a Highway Patrol helicopter up there as well.

How many pancakes, and how big, does that make?
One of "my" kids likes to help make the pancakes; I cheat and use mix.

He's barely got the knack of not flippin'em until he's ready. And the day I took that pic--
--was the first time he poured his own batter, and
--that one was too big for him to flip.

Well, if you double the batch, it makes enough for three people.

Good morning Hobbit Hole!
Today is going to be a great day! I take my Bug handle to a locksmith and I'm having them make a key. It should fit both the door and ignition, if the ingition hasn't been changed out.
See, I can't get the car to someplace to get it fixed if it doesn't have any wheels, so I'm getting the wheels fixed. And there's no point getting the wheels fixed if I can't even steer the thing because the steering wheel is locked. So I am getting *that* fixed. See my train of thought?

I see your train of thought...and it frightens me.
In other news: One-armed paper hanger. You know the drill.
Leaving at noon for Kentucky. Back late Saturday night.
I can't keep this pace up. Didn't post last night, but I was up until 2:30 working and then back up at 6:00.
Somethin's gotta give.

Good morning, busy people!
We're going up to the beach house today to help paint.
