You know...I saw Terri Hatcher (from Desperate Housewives) talking to Jay Leno and I think she has one of those and she likes to do that too..just go from place to place.

I got a job! It's a three month contract position but it's the sort of thing I want to do, it pays well, and it starts next week! Woo-hoo!

Heh...it actually didn't take much longer than that for us to get such news from my brother. If I remember the math, Jacinta was born 42 weeks and a day from the wedding...
We did pick on them a bit. They cut it pretty close. ;-)
No, it sure didn't. Though I had been looking in the area since August. Talon's company is a big technical jobs employer and they have been doing a lot of hiring. I think the local high-tech market is having a lot of turnover. So short-term contract jobs are probably harder to fill.
What surprised me was that they didn't even want to interview me, just have me start next week. I talked to the recruiter last Monday and was about to call her today when she called me and offered the job. It's exactly the sort of work I was looking for, for resume-enhancement and additional skills, and it's not a bad salary either.
Right, if we had brought more than souvenirs back from the honeymoon I would probably have a pretty decent idea by now. But we didn't ;-)
Home Depot here has spring flowering bulbs stocked now. Planting time!
