I was born a couple of days before Super Bowl XV, so anything before about 1990 is essentially ancient history for me.
(Insert the "I've got ties older than you kid" line here :) ).
It is bad. But watching the Raiders will show me that there are others in worse positions (no offense, Raider nation).
Yeah, but what's worse--being a Raider and making at least the NFL minimum salary, or having to watch them play for free?
True, true. If given a chance, I think I could be a superstar NFL RB. I was always pretty good in backyard football, anyway.
Something I don't think a lot of people have realized is we're for the most part a young team. It's not our only predicament, but this is a completely different team that was at one time the oldest in the NFL.
Thinking of pulling a Vince Papale?
I'll have to go watch Invincible to get inspired. But my old injury might hold me back (my injury being my complete lack of skill and athleticism).
Hah. Well, as long as you can run between a bunch of guys...
Speaking of which, looks like the Patriots are filing tampering charges against the Jets. Oh, how I love this division.
The Hawks gave up way too much for Branch. I had no idea they gave up a 1st round pick.
Well, he is a Super Bowl MVP. I'd say this really decimates NE's passing game, but... Brady's only qualifications for a receiver is that he must be on his team, and he must be open. Patriots vs Jets on Sunday should be interesting.
And on that note, I need to hit the sack. Good talking to you--try to make the most of the remaining half. Take a shot of some alcohol for every 10 yards LT runs, or something.
Night. I may not make it the whole way either. See you around.
Great idea for my sake, but...I think my employer would frown upon that.
Just got home from a 9-11 memorial... looks like I didn't miss too much except a good workout for Shane Lechler. :-/
Offense looks terrible...defense has played better in the 2nd half, so we'll lose games 13-0 this year instead of 31-0.
Brooks isn't going to last long this season if he keeps getting sacked. {shakes head}
There's another one...
Aaron brooks out... 7 sacks, 6 completions... Andrew Walter in...
Big comeback now... only down 0-20 :-/
I'm outta here. This game's wasting my time. :-(
