About the best thing I can say about this game is that the picture quality is terrific, even on this 11-inch, $60-at-Walmart TV I've got set up here.
People with ESPN HD are probably having a great time.
That should've just been played on Sunday. as for pick 'em, I can get to 64 with Redskins and Chargers wins.
Okay, so who the heck at the NFL's TV sales department thought it would be a good idea to put the Chargers and Raiders on national TV?
How many of Johnson's passes have passed through his receivers' hands?
Now that I couldn't tell you.
Too many. He's doing a good job, but the rest of his team isn't. Sounds strangely familiar...
In that case, could you tell me if our friend mainepatsfan signed up for that pick'em list? I'd like to see how he did.
Let's ask him...
I'm not sure if he did either :)
no problem, my dad and I found it today, so we're listening to Sonny and Sam with the T.V. muted. They do need help tonight, they seem to be all over the place.
This should be interesting.
In other news, I just found out that my new roommate is a Jets fan, and I couldn't talk smack because they won yesterday. Damn you, NFL!
LOL!!
I work with a bunch of Bengal fans....
Of course they were still bitching about Kimo VonPalmeroffen's hit in Carson Palmer last year in the playoffs, and THEN saying that the hit yesterday on Green was clean.
I personally think they were BOTH clean hits, but damned if I wasn't saying that if Kimo's hit was dirty, then the one yesterday was dirty :)
That hopefully shut 'em up. Pittsburgh isn't dirty enough to play that kind of football.
Yes, but the Seahawks were robbed of a Super Bowl Victory by the refs. /sarc
I've got to be the only person who thinks the refs' calls really benefitted the Steelers, but the Steelers were going to win anyway.
I just think it was the worst Super Bowl ever, both the teams and the refs.
Perhaps the consideration that a) we (raiders) have a widespread fan base, and b) there are at least 25 mentally ill persons in the country that like the Chargers, may have lead to it?
You see he was at a sports bar and the Squeeler fans started cheering when Carson was down.
I told him that sure the fans might be dumb like that, but sure as hell the players aren't like that for the most part.
Especially not a guy like Kimo (it's easier to say Kimo than spell his last name), because he was a Bengal ONLY a year before.
Well, they do have access to cable in most of the CA correctional facilities.
Wait until they become the Chula Vista Chargers! Their number will triple because the mentally ill fans' alternate personas will continue to support them. :)
Oh, and it could have been an experimental idea to see if the NFL could do what MLB does with Wednesday Night Baseball on ESPN (i.e.: Have an early game for the east coast and then a west coast game @ 2215 ET)?
