Slater tells us that Rove, who obtained an early galley of the Crown book, had an intermediary press the authors to leave out the section about his father. "We told him we have a couple of sources on that," says Slater. "We haven't heard anything since."Was Louis Rove the father or the stepfather?

really, what is there to say?Uh...three priests probably isn't nearly enough to exorcise the spirit of Hillary Clinton?

Wayne Slater? The same one who was co-author of
Bush's Brain?
Like I'd believe a word he says.

I'll give credit for working in the maximum number of smears and loaded word per paragraph- the DNC ought to hire them for talking points.

I didn't realize opposing gay marriage equalled homophobia.

For those who don't know,
Slater was the one who brought forth Bill Burkett the man who provided the phony documents to Dan Rather's editor, Mary Mapes as a credible witness despite overwhelming evidence that Burkett was a serial liar and basic. Since
Slater works with Mary Mapes' husband, Mark Wrolstrad, and since I had raised such a stink about Burkett to so many editors and reporters at the Morning News before Rather's story broke, I have no idea how
Slater kept his job. He and I made peace one night during the time that Rather's story was falling faster than Bill Clinton's pants at a sorority party, and I sincerely believe that he was sorry for what he had done.

Liberals fail to understand that some people may 'hate' the sin but love the person--especially if there's a familial relationship involved.

Probably there to clean up the funky smell from Old Crusty...
The Smelly Car - Episode #422
Originally Aired: Thursday, April 14, 1993, 9:30PM
(excerpt)
Jerry: Boy, do you smell something?
Elaine: Do I smell something? What am I, hard of smelling? Of *course* I smell something.
Jerry: What is it?
Elaine: I think it's B.O.!
Jerry: What?
Elaine: It's B.O. The *valet* must have had B.O.
Jerry: It *can't* be. Nobody has B.O. like this.
Elaine: Jerry. It's *B*.*O*.
Jerry: But the whole car smells.
Elaine: So?
Jerry: So when somebody has B.O., the "O" usually stays with the "B". Once the "B" leaves, the "O" goes with it.

"When Rove moved into the West Wing office formerly occupied by Hillary Clinton, he called in three Catholic priests to exorcise the spirit of the First Lady. "It was an actual liturgical ceremony," says Deal Hudson, who took part. "
Given the catty nature of the rest of this piece, I doubt the truth of this, but if true, it's exactly what I would have done. How this makes Karl look bad would only make sense to some who doesn't just not believe in God, but actively hates Catholics.
Nice audience the authors are going for, eh?
Male Kitty Kelleys don't make a pretty picture, IMHO.

Obviously, this book is an unauthorized biography. As such it should be labeled so by the NY ComPost.
A minor detail overlooked by the rag paper's slobbering editors, I presume.
