BARF. Send her to Club Gitmo. She could get more information out of the prisoners than any torture ever could.

Because employers have a right to require dignity and competence from their employees.
And the wives of their employees? And the parents of their employees? And the cousins of their employees?
To: Abathar
That's one scary picture, but at least you remembered the "rules."

How does this affect the police chief's work? It would be one thing if she was a felon, or was causing some kind of conflict of interests that called into question the chief's impartiality, but this seemingly has no relevance. The photos might be disturbing, but they're not a reason to oust her husband from his job.

Not only did he exercise poor judgement with these pictures, he also exhibited extremely poor taste.

then the people have to option to vote him out. let them do it that way. the mayor should not fire him if he hasn't done anything wrongFirst, he has done something wrong. The details of his personal life reveal that he is lacking in judgment.
Second, the mayor has a right to hire and fire whomever he likes - he is the one responsible to the voters and they can vote him out of office next time if they think he's made a bad decision.

Unless the chief was using city property for the production and distribution of his wife's pics (would seem unlikely), there is really no reason he should be fired. If other people were using city property to access the pics, then that is certainly not the chief's doing.
Sounds like much ado about nothing to me.

Fired? He should get a bonus for having to sleep with that!

He should be fired for letting her suck up all that internet bandwidth.

And the wives of their employees? And the parents of their employees? And the cousins of their employees?Absolutely.
In America, you can hire and fire people at will. Unless they are unionized.

No, I saw a FBG yesterday, and she had a pretty face, nice boobs, and still had a waist.

Sure, they can do it. I just think it's a pathetic decision made by people who would be better served minding their own business...

In all seriousness I think it calls into account his morality and how he does his job. Does he represent the morals and values of the people he serves, and can he be trusted to make a judgment call based on those qualities if he has to?

First, he has done something wrong. The details of his personal life reveal that he is lacking in judgment.
What has HE done wrong specifically?
To: Abathar
Is that picture the Chief, or his wife?

His job is to enforce the law, not to make judgement calls about morality.

Gross lack of judgement *nasty*
