The stone looks like quartz. It's very beautiful! The setting looks antique to me, I'd have it appraised.

That is a white banded agate. The cut is a cabochaun. Agate is very common so the stone isn't worth anything. However, the setting looks to be handcrafted silver which is where any worth would be. That said, wear it as an everyday piece.

That is an agate, which is pretty worthless as far as stones go, but the hand-made silver setting is nice and could be valuable if you can date it.
Tell the Mrs. I would have it professionally cleaned, buy a nice, simple silver chain for it, and wear it against a black turtleneck sweater, weather permitting. :)
