Wegmans must be east of the Mississippi River.

Mainly in the North East Slippy - just a neat store with a lot of prepared foods or partially prepared - a great butcher shop and they even sell things like pizza dough and sauce......an incredible bakery with every kind of bread you could imagine

We have NOTHING like that here. LOL! In fact, no stores from the east will mail us anything during the six months of heat. Everything rots. Too hot.

I can't see the stream - it's raining too hard to see that far.

I've had water in the house all morning - the windows have all swelled and until hubby got home I couldn't close any of them........

Geez, Gabz, that's awful.

We may get some of Hurricane John's rain, but I doubt it. We'll be in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerta Vallarta for the Christmas Cruise. Sheesh. Probably will be all mud.

But that's then, and this is now. Take care of yourself and family.

it might be bad elsewhere, but other than a steady rain, and not even a downpour at that, we got nothing going on. am back from the stitchshop, and planning to head to the mall with xsgirls and our last girls only lunch before they start school.

Given the amazing unemployment news this morning, can we change the word of the day to "four point seven percent"?

Simba The Cat:

Simba the agelast of cats was sitting with me
by the window last week.
Another tri-colored climbed up the window sill
The sill was at least a foot taller than she
She spit, spat and made Simba go crazy
This went on for at least five minutes.
Then Simba the Feisty one made her leave.

Not more than 15 minutes later the tri-colored
was at the back sliding door.
The same thing happened.
The tri-colored didn't come back for three days
Thank goodness.
I thought Simba had scared her away
for at least a few days

She was here last night at dark.
Simba went berserk.
She ran down to the first set of bricks
Then picked her tail up
and strutted down to the second set of bricks
then off to the bushes she went.
Wonder if she'll come back today?

He's sitting guarding me by the window sill right now.

Thanks, Jack.

Now he has rolled over to get his belly rubbed. LOL!

Just as I started to reply to you, I got a call that the time for open house at school had been changed because of the weather........it was 11:30 and open house was closing and the building being locked at noon........we made it.

The roads are a mess and the wind is picking up. someone took out 2 telephone poles and a tree.......judging from the looks of the vehicle, if the driver made it out it will be a miracle.

I go through withdrawal pains if I stay away from Wegmans too long. I love it there.
