DURHAM, N.C. On March 21, a week after an African-American woman charged that she had been raped by three white Duke University lacrosse players, the police sergeant supervising the investigation met with the sexual-assault nurse who had examined the woman in the emergency room. The sergeant, Mark D. Gottlieb, reviewed the medical report, which did not say much: some swelling, no visible bruises.

Yeah other than the time she tried to run over a cop with a stolen car she hasn't been that violent.
I don't think it would be at all legal or ethical to allow only local reporters and not national. Freedom of the press means ALL the press!
everything they said matched what came out LATER. I dont know why NY Times is blind to this point. Why can't they compare statements made in advance that match actual evidence (the DNA) to the credibility of statements written afterwards that don't match. Gottlieb did what defendants normally do, having heard what happened, they try to weave a tale and find it does not fit.
The whole thing continues to sicken me.
About a week later, the sergeant met with the Durham County district attorney to go over the case. For several days, the prosecutor, Michael B. Nifong, had been beseeching Duke lacrosse players to break their "stonewall of silence" about what had happened at a team party on March 13. Now, he turned up the pressure, telling Fox News that there was "no doubt in my mind that she was raped."
[snip]
Mr. Evans and the two other team captains who shared the house were there. Police reports say they cooperated fully. Not only had there been no rape, they said, there had been no sex at all. They talked for hours without lawyers, gave DNA samples and offered to take polygraph tests. The officers declined the polygraph offer because, they said, DNA evidence would solve the case.
great point. the police records again show that the students were acting in a way consistent with innocence and their current defense without knowing the outcome of the forensic investigation.
H and C upcoming segment on the case. I will try to summarize.
" How can the nurse say there was blunt force trauma, but it not be in the report? '
Gottlieb's description of his interactions with the nurse do not cast her in a very professional light. Unless he found the weak link in the medical chain and played her.
Sergeant Gottlieb wrote in the notes of his March 21 interview with the nurse.
She stated the victim had edema and tenderness to palpitation both anally and especially vaginally. "
Vaginal and anal palpitations ????
The areas would have been palpated during the exam.
And if the FA had been violently anally raped by three different men- that area should have been extremely tender, more so than the vaginal area.
H and C summary:
1. Asks is the NYT trying to convict the players in the court of public opinion.
2. Kendyll says she does not know Gottlieb, but he is in conflict with his own partner who was on the inteviews. Points out the conflict of descriptions and the notes were produced long after they were supposed to be produced.
3. Jill Davis said when she heard about it she thought it was the silver bullet. She says it was merely rehearsal.
4. No one of the 3 women changed their view of the case. The third is Mercedes something.
5. Much focus inconsistent until time to rehearsal.
6. Baden claims the article is fair. HA! Hannity says it was spun for Nifong. Baden says semen from a week earlier is highly doubtful. The initial report of sex right before the party was later changed.
7. Hannity asked Kendall about the relied on Gottlieb the last person to put his view down on paper but ignor Roberts. Kendall says the most recent statement is usually better than later states in talking about Roberts.
Later on his excuse for having killed one of the passengers was "They tried to run me over".
I gotta' see the film before I'll ever believe any of these "run me over" claims.
Sometimes bipolar people do stuff ~ just hope you never develop the condition. It's a cruel world.
Yeah other than Baden the segment was good. Wish Hannity and FOX news would do a autopsy on his carer.
If I'm not mistaken, she was still training to be a SANE nurse.
Right
So Herr Gottlieb has made it to the national media spotlight, eh. I wonder what he's been up to since turning in his notes on July 17.
I turned on Hannity one day a month or so ago and Baden was on the Nifong Kool-aid. It appears his supply hasn't ran out yet.
Gretta's show is turning to Duke. I dont know who this guest host is. I will try to summarize again.
Baden is pimpin' for himself, JMO. ;)
