Yes FReepers and FReeperettes, its time once again for another season of Survivor.
This time they are in the Cook Islands, in the middle of the South Pacific.
I was going to start off this thread by informing you all about how Mark Burnetts Production Company has decided to split the tribe along ethnic backgrounds. But that subject has been pretty much beaten to death on at least three different threads. So. . . .
I would like to point out that for all their talk about minorities not applying to the show as much as whites and about how they had to send their casting producers out to round up minorities, they apparently didnt have to look too far.
Of the 20 contestants recruited for this season, no less than 13 are from California!
And of those 13, NINE are from the greater Los Angeles area!
So much for diversity!
that WAS a pretty interesting and enjoyable challenge.
I guess now Jonathon is going to try to get Candice booted.
whoever gets booted, I'll be glad.
I've missed most of this...I've been stuffing stockings for a few of our troops....
Candace is being an evil genius, IMHO.
Jonathan survives!
Good night, folks!
Till next week! LOL
'Nite all
Geez, I hope they don't merge next week. I wish they'd wait until there are eight survivors to merge, or Aitu's gonna get picked off, and they rock.
nite, guys.
Thanks for all the screen caps, Texan!
That tribe is chock full of self centered know-it-all idiots. They will only win challenges when the other team screws up.
Looked like a rolled up paper, Jeff said it contained valuable info. We'll see.
I'm starting to have to work later on Thursdays. Hope I can get home in time for at least half of the show. I enjoy looking at the island plants and the beautiful shallow water.
Thursday, Nov. 23 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT)
SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS -- The two tribes merge into one. The 12th castaway is voted off the island. Jeff Probst hosts
Finally a good episode! I loved that the Aiku tribe kicked their butts in both challenges. Yul and Ozzy are my favorites. Yul was VERY smart to start sighting the target through the cannonball drop hole instead of the crosshairs. Looked at first like they were going to lose. Candice and Jonathan - dumb and dumber for leaving. Really wasn't a "mutiny" but a desertion. I wonder what Jeff would have done is all of Aiku had stepped on the matt- forcing a merge. My guess is if Aiku loses the next immunity challenge they will vote off Ozzy. Hope they keep winning. See you next week!
I would love to see Ozzy or Yul win. I wonder when the idol will come into play. I like those two. They seem like nice guys.
Didn't they used to wait for the merge until there were ten people left?
Something is already screwy, because Brad is the first member of the Jury. That didnt happen before until the 9th person was voted out.
If all the people from 12 to 3 become the Jury, there is an even number and the possibility for a tie on the money vote. I'm not sure what they are up to with this one.
My guess is to make it interesting they have come up with a unique "challenge for a million" in case there is a tie. It would almost have to be a mental challenge or memory quiz on how much they learned about their tribemates.
