Yes FReepers and FReeperettes, its time once again for another season of Survivor.
This time they are in the Cook Islands, in the middle of the South Pacific.
I was going to start off this thread by informing you all about how Mark Burnetts Production Company has decided to split the tribe along ethnic backgrounds. But that subject has been pretty much beaten to death on at least three different threads. So. . . .
I would like to point out that for all their talk about minorities not applying to the show as much as whites and about how they had to send their casting producers out to round up minorities, they apparently didnt have to look too far.
Of the 20 contestants recruited for this season, no less than 13 are from California!
And of those 13, NINE are from the greater Los Angeles area!
So much for diversity!
Cuz -
You've been on fire with your picks. Congrats.

Thanks for the recap Cuz. I hope Yul keeps the idol a secret.
The Aitutaki Tribe (Red Buffs): Cecilia, Ozzy, Cristina, J.P.
The Manihiki Tribe - (Yellow Buffs): Rebecca, Nathan, Sundra, Stephannie
The Puka Puka Tribe (Green Buffs): Brad, Becky, Cao Boi, Jenny, Yul
The Raratonga Tribe - (Blue Buffs): Adam, Jessica, Parvati, Candice, Jonathan
The Losers Sekou, Billy
Yes ladies and gentlemen, its Thursday. So that means its time once again for your:
The title of tonights episode is "Flirting and Frustration"
And from a variety of promos and internet previews the following tidbits are offered for clues:
An unexpected twist shocks the survivors. Will newly formed alliances stay strong or will they crumble? Some big twist. The producers are going to mix up the tribes, and they are going to do it by having each one bust a paint pellet. They will get either a red or blue pellet which will indicate their new tribe.
.
After all is said and done here are the new tribe breakdowns:
New Aitutaki:
Jonathan, Jessica, Candice, Cao Boi, Yul, Becky, Sundra, Cecilia, Ozzy
New Rarotonga:
Adam, Parvati, Brad, Jenny, Stephannie, Nate, Rebecca, JP, Cristina
After sizing up her tribe, a giddy and flirtatious Parvati starts using the only strategy she knows: to manipulate the men and draw them into her web. What is even more strange is that the producers usually say a survivor or a player. Rarely do they name a player in their clues. But it seems as if Parvati is this seasons fem-fatale. Hope it doesnt end up getting her burned.
Jonathan quickly grows frustrated with Jessica when he tired to talk strategy with her. Jonathan needs to chill or he is going to find himself on the outs with the rest of his tribe and on a one way trip to looser lodge.
Nate shocks everyone, including himself, when he scores big spear fishing and brings back enough food for the entire tribe. The only question is: Does he go fishing before or after the tribal mix-up. There is a big difference between fishing for four and fishing for nine.
The SeeBS promos once again only show us one challenge. And that one is a re-hash from Palau. The two tribes are tied together and hauling sandbags. They race around an oval course (through the water natch!) in an effort to try and catch up to the tribe in front of them. The tribe to catch up and tag their opponents wins the challenge, some piddling little reward and more importantly, immunity.
Im also thinking that the winners of the challenge will get to pick someone from the loosing tribe to be banished to exile island, thus saving them from tribal council. My pick for this weeks banishee is: Candice.
Well, there you have it:
Reward Challenge Winner: No separate Reward Challenge this week
Sent to Exile Island : Candice
Immunity Challenge Winner(s): New Rarotonga
Tribal Council Bootee: Jessica a.k.a Flicka
Ill be back Monday morning with a recap, so till than,
Take care,
Freepmail me if you want to be added to or removed from the Survivor Ping List.
Well the race aspect lasted about six days of game play (2 episodes)!!
Much ado about nothing.
I was thinking the same thing....."what, already?"
This is probably a good thing for Cao Boi.
Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick.
Hey, Buddy. There are strong thunderstorms (with high winds) rumbling through here now. The power already went out once, so if I'm not around tonight, that's why.
We had a brief hail storm and lots of traffic lights out.
Heavy rains now .... the wind and thunder seem to be lessening.
The local CBS station has a little radar thing in the bottom corner of the screen--they still have my county under "watch" LOL!
But it seems to be getting better now.
Power-hasn't-gone-out-yet-ping!
Poor Billy--LOL! That "I love you" still haunts him :-D
And here we go!
Hi!
