Giamatti, best known for his role as the wine-loving schoolteacher in "Sideways" I think he is better known for his role as the boxing promoter in "Cinderella Man" for which he won the Academy Award for "Best Supporting Actor."
In "Sideways" he is known as "that guy they cast because Billy Crystal didn't want the role."

I see him as Adam's manservant not Adams though.
And "Sideways" was awful...a colleague made me go see it with her. big mistake. I kept thinking that all the characters should be put out of their misery.
