In response to your #37
I heard Dave read that e-mail and thought it was ridiculous. You may be able to get away with that at Richmond or Bristol but not Michigan.

As a regular WR Freep attendee, THANK YOU very much for the Troop Message. Maybe we can print it out for the troops and get copies to them.

It's my honor to do these tributes every week on the Nascar thread. I only hope it gives the young men and women at Walter Reed and other hospitals across the country some idea how much they mean to all of us.
A poster would be fabulous!

your #41 - now that was funny!
My boy has called him, "Cheatin' Chad" for quite awhile. Can't wait to show him this!

Last time I looked MM was on the pole!! Cool!
He likes racing the trucks. And he likes Bristol. Should be fun to watch.
Speaking of Bristol, tickets really hard to get, etc.....saw an article about DJ. Someone offered him season tickets to Bristol and he snapped them up right now. Said, "after I retire, this is one track that I would love to sit in the stands and watch the race."
I thought that was pretty neat.

My neighbors have friends that have about 8 season tickets. If I could just get there.....I won't fly!! Maybe next year.
I hope I can stay awake for the race tonight.....I've been up since 6am clearing brush from the back forty. We are under fire warning here again. Lots of trees and dead limbs. So now I'm itchy and tired.

A good buddy of mine went...3 or 4 years...ago. He is a true Nascar nut, been to a lot of tracks.
He said, "Bristol is an experience that you have to breath to really appreciate."
Oh, and about that 'itchy and tired' thing....I highly suggest several cold ones. You'll forget about the itchy part when the sandman comes. :-)

Is it on TeeVee? Y'all gonna thread it?
I am not even looking for radio coverage. XM radio is doing this thing called IT. It is a chronological history of pop music from the get go. Started with the 20's - up to the mid 50's. I am hooked into that now.
Small sitrep. The two race weekends are HUGH economic infusion for this area. For some residents, the congestion can be a pain. But, most of us take special care to welcome our guests - give them every break in traffic; a smile and a greeting in the stores and restaurants. And count up the money!
Thank you Bruton Smith!!

This town lives on tourists, obviously. But when I heard the $$ figure that they had estimated from the Cup weekend..."wow" didn't cut it.
The city just voted to approve spending $500,000 on road improvements so we could host the Champ Cars on a road circuit. Estimated return on investment for the local economy - $72,000,000.00
And that ain't squat compared to the Nascar weekend.
