I don't know, but I do.

I would think the phrase, "good southern common sense," would be more telling.

Come on, really? You use And + Hence together, rather than simply "hence"? Think about that for a minute.

Would've been more telling if he or any other ransom note writer had capitalized Southern, as I'm always tempted to do.

I agree with you AND it sounds like "I know you and I know a lot about you ($118,000)" but you don't know me".

Also the references in his resume to babysitting for the "elite" and the listing of "foreign" countries and "foreign" people in the letter.
