Remember the Unabomber. His brother read the manifest and said he used a phrase that was "more or less" something they invented. It was the brother who turned him in.

This is going to be the same thing. The cops COULD LOCATE Karr's brother easily and show him "stuff".

Does the creep have a sister?

Well, it wasn't the window and it wasn't covered - but there *were* undisturbed cobwebs and they were on the grate that covered the window well to that basement window.

The grate had to be lifted to get down into the window well and then into the window. Your concept is correct. Sometimes those facts do need to be exaggerated and repeated to get the point across, lol.

Thanks - I had asked on another thread where that yearbook note came from - who it belonged to - and I hadn't had time to get the answer yet.

So, it wasn't signed that way, but had it in the text. OK. The glimpse I saw on TV didn't have it highlighted and went by too fast.

So, why did he leave out the "I"? "Victory" shall be the conqueror doesn't make sense.

"Though, deep in the future, maybe I shall be the conqueror and live in multiple peace."

SBTC??? Oh, brother.

I'm sure the cops have advised his ex and family to "tread" carefully so they don't wind up as co-conspirators....Not as a threat but as a point of law.

Both have now said: "Maybe".

I need to look back, but there was a documentary that included an analysis from a retired detective that was hired by the DA, I believe. It's been awhile. I do remember this guy had great credentials, years of experience, and is highly respected in his field. He specifically talked about the evidence that led him to believe someone had come in through that window. There was a picture of the grate with the grass caught underneath it. He was a large man, and demonstrated how it was possible for some to enter the home. It was quick, and frighteningly simple, even for a man of his size. What was also interesting was that his foot hit the wall at about the exact spot of the smudge on the wall as he came in.

It's all just speculation! It's just also very likely that it was an intruder, and not the parents. That's the point of my posts. The footprints in the snow was a publicity leak. The investigator that did this demonstration above, had commented that he believed them to be guilty based on the statement about the footprints. He'd not seen pictures though until he was hired. He actually went into the job expecting to confirm their guilt. When he saw pictures they showed very, very little snow, and it was only in patches. It would have been harder to go out of the way to step in it, then avoid it. As he dug into the case, his mind was changed about the Ramsey's involvement.

"If this is really true that they have an old sample of this guy's handwriting, they might possibly be able to compare that against the ransom note and get a match"

They already have found a match to that note -- they'll never find one that's any better.

The pageant person who gave JonBenet the Santa bear came forward and told how she had recently gotten it.

Great clue!

Did you obtain it about 30-35 years ago when the perv would have been a kid? Did you tell them where you got it?

The NOTE says "we" also. Don't think there's an "I" in it.

Seems like some sort of War Game in his mind...against money and power, the establishment, women? His ex said he was very controlling.

there is also a line from the Dirty Harry movie in the note - any evidence he is a clint eastwood fan?

here is a link to the yearbook entry of John Karr's handwriting...

ahem... the way he writes the letter 'a' sure is interesting.

I believe they call that style lithographic (as opposed to block or cursive). It's a little unusual and the ransom had 'a's written that way. (NOTE Patsy Ramsey also intermittently wrote her 'as that way.)

That was Lou Smit and he didn't go through the window quickly or easily - in fact, you didn't see the whole process of him getting into the basement room.

He had to sit on the windowsill first - a windowsill that had not been disturbed the night JonBenet was murdered.

As to his foot hitting the wall where the scuff mark was, it could very easily have been John Ramsey's scuff mark, left from when he broke the window that summer to get in when he had been locked out while Patsy was in CHX.
