>>>Is it BOTH JMK's family and his 2nd ex-wife's family that are claiming they know he wasn't in Colorado at the time of the killing? I'd only heard about the ex-wife making that claim.>>>

JMK's family is saying that he was with them that year, but haven't presented any proof. If there is any proof. But honestly, you remember if your husband was out of town, that year would seem to stand out in your mind.

True, but let's furthur speculate and put these things together.

As you said Pedophiles have thier own chatrooms, usenet, etc etc... OK let's say that pictures of JonBenet Ramsey are being passed around, Karr sees these and is infatuated. He knows she lives in Boulder, Co from the descriptions with the pictures.

Then a light goes off. Daddies comapny or someone else he knows through those connections was doing or did work on a large home for a Ramsey family in Colorado. He puts 2&2 together.

Now he is infatuated with this beautiful little girl, and he knows exactly where she lives. To furthur speculate, maybe at this point he uses contacts, or sneaks into daddies company, etc and finds blueprints of the Ramsey home.. a plan begins to form......

Yes, the DNA will be the tie-breaker. Until that report is in, this is all just speculation about an obvious whack-job pervert.

Agreed. Furthermore, this guy could turn around tomorrow or the day after and decide to retract his original confession. It wouldn't be the first time such a thing has happened.

But if they can actually find the guy's DNA in the house, that would pretty much be the clincher.

I was trying to make the point that "knowing" someone does not necessarily mean one has access to very private/personal things. Even a hired-hand wouldn't know. A LIVE-IN housekeeper or LIVE-IN nanny MIGHT know some of these things. Not as well, though, as the murderer knows or knew.

I think you made your point quite well, and it's a vitally important point. Everything we in the general public have been led to believe about this case suggests that the killer was someone either in the family or close to the family.

You're right, he does look like Oswald.

Guilty or not in the Ramsey case, he needs to be locked up.

Here's my theory, which may have already been discussed:

Karr met the Ramsey's in GA. Befriended Patsy to get to Job Benet. Had an affair with Patsy. Patrsy had to cover up for him because of the affair (thus the note and the bonus).

Interesting point and should be looked into.

BTW, I recall reading of a killer (forgot the name) who confessed and deliberately included false details and thus the confession was thrown out.

the difference with me and this guy is that I haven't confessed to the crime.

Maybe it's time you come clean.

It is very easily confirmed he was with his family or not in 1996, get a grip!

No picture, he's guilty, that's what you said.

Have you guys seen that psychic's 2002 drawing -- dead on match to this suspect. It was posted on Drudge. I think the Ramseys hired the psychic. Of course, being a skeptic and cynic, my first thought was that somehow the Ramseys convinced this guy to take the fall, and then had the psychic draw the picture from a photo of him.

He wasn't a transient, he wasn't homeless. At that time he had a house in Alabama, a wife, and three sons. Also other relatives. They are all going through their photos from Christmas 1996 to get proof that he was in Alabama when JBR was killed.

>>>10 years is a lot of time for details to leak<<<

Especially since Karr was being sucked in by the fraudulent Michael Tracey, coached by Lou Smit, who, as a hire in the Boulder DA's office, had access to ALL the details about the body.

"It is very easily confirmed he was with his family or not in 1996 ..."

I'm not so sure. For example, I remember where I was Christmas 1996. (At a girlfriend's parents' house, near Pittsburgh.) But we drove there from NC (no public transportation receipts), we stayed at their house (no hotel/motel receipts), and I don't recall any photos being taken (they would have to be time-and-date stamped, in any event.) Credit card receipts for gasoline and restaurant meals were tossed long ago. So, for confirmation of my stay I would have to rely on the good memory and truthful testimony of a former girlfriend, her sister, and/or brother-in-law! (Her parents are deceased.)

>>>he talked in detail to the relatives<<<

Yup. In particular, to the grandmother, Nedra Paugh, who never kept any details to herself. This is the woman who bragged about the size of her infant grandson's penis to all her acquaintances!!!

Aside from the usual 'how did he know' questions, my thought was in regarding to ransom. It's not 'how did he know the amount' thought, it's why a ransom note at all.

Isn't a pedophile's main interest in young children and not money? For an intruder looking for ransom, they would merely abduct her from her home. A pedophile, or someone looking for revenge kills, imo.

"He does not appear to be the kind of guy who would walk into a house and then assault and murder a kid in the basement ..."

But he *is* the kind of guy who would marry a 12 year old, then marry a 16 year old, chalk up an arrest (and conviction in abstentia) for possession of child porn, skip bail, and flee to Thailand. If not this type of guy, then what type do you think *would* commit this sort of crime?

Patsy never corresponded with him. He believed she was, but it was really the police. I'm wondering if accurate details came out in those emails, and what he's saying now is bogus in an attempt to go for an insanity plea. DNA will answer the questions.

You cut off my quote and in that sense you took it completely out of context. Look at the qualifying language in the phrase that you removed from my statement.

This guy just may be a serial child killer. I could believe that. He just does not strike me as the kind of guy who would brazenly break into a house, and do the crime in the basement while the family was at home.

There are a lot of holes in this story. There appear to be rumors of DNA test confirmations, but nothing concrete so far. The pieces just don't seem to fit together.
